Petition to end the constant PvP over literally everything on CT:
Why don’t we have 1B runners anymore?
Because every decent coin gets vamped within hours.
Someone launches a “baby” version.
Someone decides the pairing is better.
Some retard changes the hat on the dog.
Someone launches the exact same meme on another chain.
Cabals PvP each other over who launched first just so they can have the better entry.
Back in the day you could ape a decent meme at $5M MC and feel lucky that you got in early.
Now you ape at $500K and pray it doesn’t get vamped, PvPed, FUDed into extinction or have some retard clip 5% of the supply just to dump it three minutes later.
Just look at Swordcat / Knightcat / Bundlecat.
IMO Cat Wif Sword could have been one of the most obvious runners of the cycle if everyone had just pulled their shit together.
I still think it can be..
Yet even today someone launches Inu Wif Sword, because apparently we didn’t have enough PvP already.
Imagine if instead of constantly trying to extract from each other, CT actually rallied behind one genuinely good meme.
If I look at memes or projects nowadays first thing is to check if it’s the OG, if it’s the right imagine and whatnot.
That’s why I even prefer memes like Ansem, as it’s almost impossible to vamp those kind of coins even though people tried launching derivatives of that as well.
Yes, there are other problems.
Coin inflation in general.
Fragmented liquidity.
TikTok-level attention spans.
Millions of launches every day.
But back in the day, if a meme went properly viral, that shit could go to infinity.
The bigger problem is that everyone is permanently searching for the next shiny thing instead of asking:
Who has already been building?
Who has lore?
Who has community?
Who can still be here six months from now?
I’m still a fan of Pepe for exactly that reason. (Even though it has been camped and copied a trillion times)
And communities like Knightcore deserve way more respect too. The ceiling for lore, content and virality is basically unlimited if people actually build together.
Instead we have millions of memes disappearing within hours.
The millionth L2 nobody asked for.
The millionth launchpad with exactly the same features.
And everyone trying to PvP something instead of adding value to something that already works.
Maybe instead of launching the 42nb derivative of a good idea, help make the original bigger?
