"Honestly, yes, so far their results have been pretty underwhelming.
It's a little bit sad because Champs is in Shanghai. When you have this level of underwhelming performance, it's never one thing. I think it's a combination of many things.
We can start with the one that VALORANT came to China later, so they started later. Obviously, you could say, 'Yeah, but EDG did win in 2024,' which they did.
Ever since, it just feels like they're a step behind in both game plans, micro-wise, but also, I would say, just playing together as individuals, as a team.
Usually when I see Chinese teams and players play, it's a lot of individual hero, three-kill, four-kill type of rounds.
I feel a little bit of a lack of discipline here and there. So it's honestly a combination of many things.
If you're weak at just one thing, you would still be winning maps here and there, but so far it's been pretty rough.
Hopefully, I really hope at least one Chinese team makes it to the playoffs."

🇺🇸 100T Asuna: "[...] I would say the biggest reason Americas is so good is just we're playing against some amazing teams. We have the South American League combined with us, so we have a lot more talent than usual.
And as a result, we have amazing practice. We even import the best players from other regions, and then we have amazing coaches. Our coaches are European, they're not even American.
They have American players who know how to play the game at the top level. Me, Cryocells, and bang have played so many years before this, and then we have coaches who've been coaching for six years and have their own titles under their belt.
It's just a culmination. And again, for the other teams, they also have players like keiko and Bonkar.
We combine the best from every region. And ever since The Guard, houtout to the G2 guys, came into the scene, practice has always been amazing.
Before that it was definitely a little rough. Ever since 2022, Americas practice has probably been the best in the world.
I think it's all led to this point where we have three amazing NA teams and then a Brazilian team that's always going to be incredible, and LOUD is usually the team there."

Q: What went wrong on Map 1?
BerLIN: To put it bluntly, I think we were still too afraid, too hesitant. A lot of the time when we were taking map control, or in situations where we should've taken fights and played confidently, where someone needed to take the duel, no one stepped out. Maybe it was that kind of hesitation, or simply that no one was doing what they were supposed to do. And later on, even when you did it, when they swung out, you just couldn't hold them. There really wasn't much else to say.
Q: What adjustments did you make on Map 2, and what was the communication like?
BerLIN: I think on Map 2, we basically fixed the things we shouldn't have done on Map 1. If we needed to fight, we fought. If we needed to push, we pushed. If there was something we needed to do, we went and did it. We weren't as afraid. But on defense, defense has always been quite a big problem for us. Some of our coordination or on-the-fly calling probably wasn't that good yet.
Q: Compared with the last time you played FUT, what was different?
BerLIN: The last time I played them, we were able to play the way we should, the way we wanted to play, and do the things we were supposed to do. But it still wasn't that perfect.
Q: We know you had some regrets from Masters Shanghai. Was there anything you wanted to do differently this time to make up for them?
BerLIN: We haven't won a single match, and our scores have also been very poor. But for me personally, I don't think it's over yet. It's just the first match. No matter which team it is, no matter who it is, keep your head up, hold your chest high, and just keep moving forward.
Q: You'll face T1 next in a do-or-die match. What do you think of them as an opponent?
BerLIN: Korean teams have always played very smart, and they're also willing to fight and compete aggressively. Yeah, I think they're a very strong opponent, and it'll probably be a very challenging matchup.
Q: Is there anything you want to say to everyone who is still supporting JDG and VCT CN?
BerLIN: I think at times like this, the more everyone should stay united, and the more we should believe that it's not over yet. This is only the beginning. Maybe it hasn't been good, but we've had bad starts in the past too. You can choose not to believe in us, but we won't give up.

Q: We could see that you actually played the pistol rounds very well on Map 1. Were you satisfied with your communication and execution in the pistol rounds today?
ZmjjKK: Yeah. For the pistol rounds, we basically just strictly followed the instructions the coaches had given us.
Q: For your pre-match prep, how much emphasis did you put on the pistol rounds, and how much effort did you put into preparing for them?
ZmjjKK: We watched their VODs, so the coaching staff made preparations based on that.
Q: Moving into the gun rounds, the most obvious thing we could feel was that LOUD were really aggressive and came at you with a lot of momentum. On Map 1, when facing their approach, did you make any adjustments during the rounds?
ZmjjKK: We made some adjustments. I just felt that on Map 1, we didn't play the late-round situations that well. We lost a lot of those situations. By the time we were doing adjustments, maybe they had already built up their momentum, so a lot of the time we just didn't do particularly well.
Q: Speaking of Map 2, we saw you bring out a completely new composition, with Breach and Viper. LOUD were extremely dominant on this map during the VCT Americas Finals. What was your idea behind using this new composition against them?
ZmjjKK: Because they run double Sentinels, we wanted to be able to get onto the site more easily sometimes, get the spike down, and not let them get some free kills. But today, maybe we just didn't do particularly well. We didn't fully execute the things the coaches had told us to do.
Q: Your next match will also be a do-or-die elimination match against GE. What experience do you think you can take away from today's match, improve on, and apply to the next one?
ZmjjKK: For our next match, we'll try to make our communication more efficient, get ourselves into a better state, and be ready for the next one
