World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) takes place annually between 18-24 November and this year's theme is “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future” which calls for a unified and urgent response to address this growing global health threat. The official colour for WAAW is blue. Although significant progress is being made, patient voices are often absent when it comes to shaping solutions from a people-centred perspective. This year, the Task Force of AMR Survivors encourages everyone planning activities and events to include patients, carers, survivors, and those who rely on these life-saving medicines to work, whether by connecting with one of our Task Force members or engaging within your local communities. Only by understanding how AMR affects people’s lives can we discover meaningful ways to reduce its impact. #AMRsurvivors #PatientsIncluded #WAAW #AMR #AntimicrobialResistance
