Pretty entertaining how Disney drops all this good news while increasing all pricing. Not a coincidence the most popular influencers are at a DCL event.

Walt Disney World raised prices on nearly 5,000 menu items on October 6, 2026, an average of +6.3% (+$0.80). Churro $5.99 → $7.49 👀 Pre-tax prices as of Oct 6, 2026; more menus may update.

So now Keyholders can make reservation 'just in case they wanna go' and end up not going and zero consequences. Unpopular viewpoint, but I don't think this is a good decision.

The reservation system has effectively become an "honor" system... Do you trust your fellow Keyholders not to hoard reservation dates?

And now people will hoard reservations, never showing up, which means those that want to go can't, creating a net-win for shareholders.

If Magic Keyholders believed they had problems getting reservations before, take a wild guess what happens when Keyholders can hold dates without penalty for no-shows...

NEW: Disneyland Resort revealed price changes, with increases focused on some 1-day tickets while Magic Key and multi-day ticket prices remain unchanged. 1-day ticket prices are increasing by $5 on Tiers 1-4. The cheapest 1-day ticket remains $104, while the highest-priced ticket remains $224/day. Multi-day tickets, all Magic Key prices and parking are unchanged. Lightning Lane Multi Pass increases by $1: pre-arrival pricing goes from $34 to $35, while day-of pricing will start at $38, up from $37. Disney CFO Hugh Johnston said at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on Sept. 9 that “the reality of it is, we price when we deliver more value,” adding, “Price is what you pay, value is what you get.” He said Disney’s investments give guests “hours and hours and hours of rides and entertainment and other shows.”
