I made Top Cut at the 2024 Pokémon VGC World Championships! Wish I could have taken it all, but I’m so happy to prove I can play well on the Worlds stage, especially with Regidrago. Thanks to everyone who has helped or supported me along the way!

I don’t think Takuma winning is a result of this format being particularly RNG heavy. Plenty folks have made it far at Worlds with few other results, and all world champions had some amount of luck in their runs. Sometimes a format just clicks for someone and they ball out.

Pokémon Center line is notoriously not disability friendly. In 2024 they held us in effectively a greenhouse for multiple hours and someone in my party fainted from the heat. It’s absurd that year after year this continues to be a problem.

My claim to fame is in 2020 I was in the scholarship office at UMich. Abdul El-Sayed (current senate candidate) was on campus for a rally and had the meeting after mine (he was a Rhodes scholar). He walks into my meeting and says “just got off the phone with Bernie Sanders”

This is a great video. As someone who leans towards hyper offense, but obsesses over what is the best way to play and how to find a competitive edge without HO, this gave me a lot to chew on.
