BASICALLY, MANAGEMENT IS TRYING TO GET US TO WORK LESS.
(This accidentally turned into a newsletter. But a fun one😀)
And they’re not doing a particularly good job.
Our CEO slash CEOfluencer keeps telling us to stop working in the evenings, stop working at night, stop working on weekends, and PLEASE stop working from the beach while on vacation.
The problem? WE REALLY FUCKING LOVE OUR JOBS. 😂 Our work. Our industry. Our customers. The things we’re building.
Yes, yes. WE KNOW. It sounds disgustingly cliché. But seriously, how many companies have people who VOLUNTARILY choose to work evenings, weekends and sometimes even on vacation? Not because anyone expects us to. Not because we have to.
BUT BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO STOP.
And before someone thinks, “These people clearly have no lives outside of work.”
OH DEAR, WE DO. We all have really fucking good lives. We just happen to really like our jobs too.
BUT THEN AGAIN…
Who the fuck wouldn’t want to work at a company where the CEO has a GREAT personality, somehow became our CEOfluencer, inspires the hell out of us and gives all us creative wild ones pretty much free rein?
Try things. Test weird ideas. Take different routes. Explore new channels. See what happens.
And then sends us pictures of drinks from his vacation at 10 AM, only to refuse to answer the phone at 4 PM because, in his own words, he’s “probably not much support after all those GTs.” 😂 Fair enough, Oskar.
But jokes aside, when he’s NOT living his best CEOfluencer life in Sicily, he’s always there for us. And one thing We genuinely love:
He calls every single one of us individually a few times a week. Not because something needs to be done. Just to check in. To ask how we’re doing.
So yeah…
BASICALLY, MANAGEMENT IS TRYING TO GET US TO WORK LESS.
Maybe there’s a reason we don’t want to💜ja
