UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users. I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet). The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries). My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold. Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk. I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it. If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!

Card club members already knew about this, testing the new feature. How it works is (at the moment) - Select an epic card you want to prioritize - If you hit an epic, 5% chance it will be that one - Can select up to 5 at a time -> 25% chance it will be one of your picks - Amount of solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp needed per pick depends on the value of the card (higher epics = more CARDS costs) Other than a new token sink, this feature is significant because it closes the loop of integrating the token into the protocol: - Use solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp to get preferred epics in the gacha - Hold solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp to receive free spins Closing this loop may give them more room to speak clearly about token buybacks under the SEC/CFTC guidelines. This will all obviously take time, but it is yet another sign that the team is aligned with the solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp token. Higher
solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp are being used in additional to the usual cost of spin (not subsidizing the cost of spin) Over 19.9k of solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp token has been spent ($5.7k in cost) has been spent in additional to usual gachapon spending. This serves as another additional form of token sink for solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp

LOL. CME announced at 5pm Friday that it’s dropping plans for 24/7 oil trading over concerns about… staffing. Thought nobody would notice.

Net tokenized collectibles value on @Collector_Crypt reached a new ATH of $54m in September (up from $47m in Aug) despite collectibles redemptions also reaching record $4.6m worth of slabs redeemed IRL during the month. While redemption activity grew stronger, a growing number of collectors are choosing to keep their collectibles onchain. ~7.8k wallets now hold at least 2 tokenized collectibles, with the largest collector holding 1.2k tokenized collectibles onchain worth $1.2m in insured value. This points towards growing collector activity with some collectors redeeming cards to collect physically IRL, while others are tokenizing/keeping it onchain to build their collection. More collectibles onchain alongside a strong gachapon inventory creates a stronger base to support further distribution and partnerships, while spilling over into greater liquidity and volume across secondary marketplace.

There was $945m+ spent on cards in September, according to @CardLadder. Seems like there will be a $1 billion month by end of year.
