Marked the sacred occasion of Durga Ashtami with Kanya Pujan at @LokNiwasDelhi with a group of young children. A nation that reveres the divine feminine must also uphold the dignity, freedom and rights of every woman. This reverence must translate into everyday reality - in our public institutions, neighbourhoods and workplaces - where every woman feels safe, respected and empowered to pursue her aspirations without fear. May Maa Durga bless Delhi and all citizens with strength, prosperity and well-being. Shubh Navratri! 🙏

Reviewed the functioning of the Directorate of Prosecution, GNCTD, today. Expressed concern over low conviction rates, mounting case pendency and delays in disposal. Directed immediate, outcome-oriented measures: • Stronger Monitoring: Overhaul case tracking, streamline file allocation and identify trial delays. • Timely Justice: Enforce BNSS timelines, operationalise Trial in Absentia wherever legally applicable, and hold Investigating Officers accountable for investigation quality and evidence collection. • Fix Accountability: Analyse acquittals, identify lapses and ensure accountability at every stage. • Inter-Agency Coordination: Strengthen daily coordination among Prosecutors, @DelhiPolice and FSL, including effective IO briefings. • Quality Prosecution: Strengthen pre-trial scrutiny of charge-sheets, minimise adjournments and ensure timely production of witnesses. Justice delayed cannot become justice denied. Every avoidable delay and lapse must be addressed. Directed all concerned agencies to act with urgency, coordination and accountability to strengthen prosecution and ensure more effective delivery of justice.

A vibrant evening at the famous Ramleela ground in Derawal Nagar, witnessing the timeless epic of Ramayana come alive through powerful dialogues and captivating theatrical performances. Beyond its artistic splendour with many well-known Bollywood faces, Ramleela reflects Delhi’s living cultural spirit - bringing families and communities together while connecting our younger generations to India’s rich civilizational heritage and timeless values. Warm wishes to all devotees and attendees this festive season. Jai Shri Ram! 🙏

Inspected civic and sanitation upkeep across MCD’s Old Delhi Zone this morning, covering the RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Centre near the Red Fort, the pedestrianised stretch of Chandni Chowk, Vijay Ghat Pigeon Feeding Point, and the Integrated Transit Station on Bela Road. As Delhi’s historic, cultural and commercial heart, Old Delhi deserves world-class civic standards. Directed officials to strengthen solid waste management, ensure effective source segregation and maintain rigorous on-ground cleanliness. Preserving Old Delhi’s heritage must go hand in hand with cleaner streets, better civic amenities and a sustainable urban environment. A cleaner, more liveable Old Delhi is integral to building #ViksitDilli.

Reviewed the operational preparedness of the @DelFireService today alongside Hon’ble Home Minister, GNCTD, Shri @ashishsood_bjp. With emergency calls at a six-year high of 36,877, directed a comprehensive strengthening of fire safety across Delhi, with clear priorities: • Citizen Awareness: Intensify proactive campaigns to make every citizen a partner in fire prevention. • Faster Response: Set zone-wise targets to reduce response times, particularly in densely populated and vulnerable areas. • Strict Safety Audits: Strengthen inspections across residential, market and industrial areas, given that nearly 99% of fires occurred in uncertified premises. • Modern Infrastructure: Expedite land transfers with DDA for new fire stations, fast-track recruitment and establish a GIS-enabled Command & Control Centre. A Surakshit Dilli is the foundation of a #ViksitDilli. Protecting lives through prevention, preparedness and swift emergency response remains our highest priority.

🚨 Alert on the BIGGEST FRAUDS of X 🚨 How shameless these COPY-PASTE merchants are. @cine_infinity @BeingADian @NishantADHolic_ 🤮🤮🤮 These third-grade, UNGRATEFUL people have copied hundreds of POSTS & ideas of @Navneet_Mundhra. Called him and ask for BUSINESS help... He gave them work and they shared some contacts & business info. And there bastards abuse him and his family behind his back. Hope he knows that? ZERO language skills. ZERO knowledge. Just STEAL other people's ideas & posts SHAMELESSLY without any credit.... and then abuse & slander the same person. No person on Internet should TALK to or HELP such people. They CUT the hands which feed them. These are the most UNGRATEFUL people I've seen on Twitter. They've USED & FOOLED many people I know here. STAY AWAY from there BACK-STABBERS.... If you HELP them, they will CUT YOUR THROAT 🤬 @elonmusk

A criminal defamation conviction in an Adani case, now under appeal, and Ravi Nair is back with another one sided narrative. India was facing a coal shortage while global prices were soaring amid major supply disruptions. But in lair's telling, all that context takes a back seat to the bonaza headline. Apparently... no lessons learnt.

We talk a lot about EVs, solar panels, and wind turbines being "green," but we rarely ask: how is the raw copper inside them made? Loved this deep-dive into Adani’s Kutch Copper unit in Mundra. Operating in an arid region like Kutch isn't easy, but using 100% desalinated water and capturing 99.8% of sulphur emissions is a huge deal for sustainable manufacturing. Worth a watch if you're curious about India's energy transition 👇

If the power grid had collapsed in 2022, you would have screamed that Govt's incompetence plunges India Into darkness... But because the government actually stepped in, secured fuel via open public tenders, and prevented a nationwide energy catastrophe, the narrative flips to corporate Bonanza. So predictable… agenda-driven spin.

Weren't international coal prices at historic highs in 2022? It should be like how India prevented nationwide blackouts in 2022 by importing coal through open, competitive tenders when global fuel prices hit historic highs.

Did you completely sleep through 2022? While you cry about a bonanza, Germany was literally restarting mothballed 875 MW coal plants. Newcastle coal exceeded $400/tonne. Floods disrupted Australian supply. European buyers scrambled for alternatives. Domestically the crisis was so severe that Indian Railways had to cancel over 1,100 passenger train trips just to prioritize coal rakes. The sequence of events matters. The import directive came amid a coal shortage and a global energy crisis. The fact that Adani won a large share of NTPC’s tenders does not, on its own, prove the policy was designed for their benefit.

You call this a report, but it’s just omission by design. Why didn’t you mention that power plant coal stocks had plummeted to a critical level against a normative days? Domestic coal supply was falling short of requirements, and that without imports for blending, stocks at domestic-coal-based plants could have hit zero by September 2022. so if we hadn’t imported coal, where was the electricity supposed to come from haan? Were we supposed to power a nation on your report, or are you just upset the government used open, multi-bidder reverse auctions to keep the lights on instead of letting the grid collapse? pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.…
Adani had been complaining its coal import business was shrinking. Modi govt mandated coal imports across the country, despite states warning of higher power bills. Adani emerged biggest winner in import tenders & saw “astronomical” gains. I report: scroll.in/article/1096068/ho…

Scroll claims the 2022 coal import mandate was unnecessary and only raised power bills. That’s not what the data showed. India was facing a severe power crisis and factories were already suffering blackouts. Govt intervention saved the grid. And no, PSUs didn’t bypass rules.. they won contracts through open, competitive bids. 🧵👇🏻 economictimes.indiatimes.com…
