It’s recommended to keep young children facing rearwards in car seats until they're 4. Facing that way, they’re better protected in a collision and less likely to suffer serious neck and back injuries. childcarseats.org.uk has info on choosing a seat and other tips.

Bank Holiday traffic can be a nightmare, make sure to plan a route, the best travel time & preparing your car and kids in advance. Try to take a break every 2 hours for at least 15 mins. All this can help prevent breakdowns, reduce disruption and keep everyone moving safely
