Random thought: What is the last time you pre-ordered a game and had genuinely zero regrets or negative thoughts about doing so before or after the game's release?
For me it was Alien Isolation.

An I the only one who finds it weird that when an orchestra performs something for film/games/etc the credit listed is the orchestra itself and doesn't list the players involved? Just thinking about how many creative jobs nowadays have "your name in the credits of" requirement.

Seeing all this hubbub about AI generated games is genuinely extremely disheartening as a gamedev. I've committed my life to learning about it & I'm faced with seeing the future where not only am I seen as obsolete, but people already prefer instant gratification over artistry.

Waking up & reading the replies, there's A LOT of people who think this is a 100% anti-AI and targeted at their hobbies. It's not. It's lamenting the knowledge of foresight that this is the next big industry to become the next "cashiers replaced by robots to please corporate".

Okay so if I am understanding this correctly:
Halo (Bungie) fans want the Reboot to start where Halo 3 ended, with Chiefs ultimately fate being lost in space forever alone. Making him a mythical legend.
Buuuut, they also don’t want a new protagonist, they want Chief to lead.

Is the Halo community now ready for the discussion that by Bungie's definition of rampancy Cortana has been rampant ever since entering Halo's core in Halo CE, and also metastable to the point of being her own individual? Because that was not normal of AI in the old lore.

Helldivers 2 main loader is Arsenal.
NexusMods staff have joined the Helldivers 2 modding community on a Discord server that is discussing flagging non-NexusMods and making Arsenal reject anything that doesn’t include a NexusMods link.
They want other sites to be blocked. They don’t even play the game.
This isn't safe. That is a monopoly on the loader.

Discord's age estimation is putting people in the wrong age brackets (wow go figure) and people are abandoning DIscord entirely rather than forking over their:
- face scan
- credit card information
- government ID
