THIS HAS TO STOP. 🛑 Weekend after weekend our peaceful canvassers are simply trying to exercise their democratic right to campaign and put leaflets through doors. Instead they are being confronted by angry protesters, huge placards and megaphones, with people shouting in their faces. What we witnessed from Stand Up To Racism this weekend was once again not acceptable political debate. Our canvassers have the same democratic rights as everybody else and they should be able to campaign without intimidation or harassment. And while all this is going on, we still have an enormous problem with our borders. The latest Home Office figures show around 86,000 people claimed asylum in the UK in the year ending June 2026. Just over half had arrived through illegal entry routes. Around 93,000 people were receiving asylum support at the end of June. The Home Secretary herself told Parliament that asylum support spending had reached £4.7 BILLION in a single year. British taxpayers are paying billions for accommodation and support while people quite reasonably ask why our borders are still not properly under control. @ShabanaMahmood @andyburnham @wesstreeting @UKLabour The Government has a fundamental responsibility to secure our borders, protect its citizens and ensure that people can exercise their democratic rights without intimidation. So where is the action? Why are people still entering this country illegally? Why is the taxpayer continuing to carry such an enormous financial burden? And why are peaceful political canvassers repeatedly having to face this kind of behaviour simply for putting leaflets through doors? These are legitimate questions and they deserve proper answers. I’m drowning. I don’t even really know why I’m writing this, I just have no more options. Since the Million Women March in November 2024, I have been relentlessly harassed, stalked and abused. Details about my children and my home address have been circulated, CCTV involving my children from wiring their school has been posted online, and I have been repeatedly reported to the police, whove searched my house, constant social Services reports to make me lose my daughter, malicuous HMRC, Child Benefit and other agency reports - en masse. Cleared every time but the process has been excruciating. I have spent nearly two years in and out of court trying to protect myself. I eventually obtained a non-molestation order against one of the people involved. I am now being threatened with bailiffs over approximately £3,000 in their legal costs, despite the fact that I was the person seeking protection and was represented through Legal Aid and the NMO was awarded. I am not posting this to ask anyone for money. I just genuinely do not know where to turn anymore. I have more court proceedings ahead of me, I am working as many hours as I physically can, I have barely slept for months and I am completely exhausted. I keep going into church, I keep praying, I keep telling myself to get through one more day, but I don't know how much more I can cope with. I have a huge amount of evidence. Messages, court documents, voice notes, screenshots, police records, material showing people discussing me, monitoring me, sharing information about me and contacting people around me. Yet I feel as though I am constantly having to fight everything alone. @DC_Police absolutely refuse to help me, depsite all the evidence and proof. This has already pushed me to the point of suicide, which they laughed about in their messages. I am frightened by how overwhelmed I feel again now. Im not okay. I am not asking for money. I am asking for help. Is there anyone reading this with proper legal training who can look at what is happening, tell me what my actual options are, and help me work out what I need to do next? A solicitor, barrister, legal academic, anyone with genuine experience in Family Court costs, enforcement, harassment, stalking, privacy or civil litigation. I don’t need sympathy, I need someone who understands the law to help me find a way through this. I cant keep on like this. 2,932 RAPE CASES ENTERED THE CROWN COURT IN JUST SIX MONTHS Between January and June 2026, 2,932 new rape cases entered the Crown Court in England and Wales. Behind every one of those cases is a human being. For victims and survivors, this isn’t simply a number appearing in a Ministry of Justice spreadsheet. It can mean months or even years of uncertainty while they wait for their case to be dealt with. And the problem isn’t just the number of new cases entering the system. The Crown Court backlog is continuing to grow. By the end of June, the figures showed: 🔺 80,829 cases open in the Crown Court, a series record. 🔺 16,089 sexual-offence cases in the Crown Court backlog, 22% higher than a year earlier. 🔺 Open rape cases were up 26% year-on-year. 🔺 23,706 Crown Court cases had been open for a year or more, another series record. 🔺 The median age of an open Crown Court case had reached 203 days, compared with 168 days a year earlier. The rape figures themselves are particularly striking. Between January and March 2026, 1,416 new rape cases were entering the Crown Court. Between April and June 2026, there were another 1,516. That gives us 2,932 new rape cases during the first six months of 2026, with the April–June figure reaching a series peak. Compared with April–June 2025: 🔺 Child rape cases were up 10%. 🔺 Adult rape cases were up 19%. Then there is another part of the court system that deserves attention. During the first six months of 2026, 400 trials could not go ahead as planned because an interpreter was unavailable. That represented 3% of all ineffective trials across the magistrates’ courts and Crown Court. The Ministry of Justice does not say those 400 trials were rape cases, or that interpreters caused 3% of the rape backlog. But 400 trials could not proceed because an interpreter was unavailable. Make of that what you will. The government has now announced specialist rape courtrooms across England and Wales, with measures intended to reduce delays and improve the experience for victims. Close the borders. We see the daily reports we see what you've done. Specialist courts would not be needed if you just put women's and children's safety first. The next set of criminal court figures, covering July to September 2026, is due to be released on: 📅 10 DECEMBER 2026 That will give us the next picture of whether the Crown Court backlog, sexual-offence backlog and rape figures are beginning to fall, or whether they are continuing to grow.
