Love a little research project! 2018/19 had 5 teams with the same sponsor… sorry to remind Bolton fans of this little run 😬

ALBION | Squad Update
32. Rio Parmar
As reported in the post match update, Parmer appeared in the senior match day squad for the first time against the Saints.
#WBA
POST MATCH | Southampton H
The game of the day lived up to the billing, even if it’s still hard to fathom why Saints didn’t use their red third kit shorts!
Wasn’t passable overall in the ground, but crowd scenes were tricky viewing, especially corners.

Well done 👏
As I was creating Rio Parmar’s shirt graphics, thought Dad might like to join the #17 club too!

Guesses for the midweek fixtures.
A few options as most will be on a double away week so may rotate, with Saints at Albion probably most open to debate.

No, Watford didn’t have the match details with the poppy.
However, they were one of the three to go for left breast placement rather than central, along with Boro and Wrexham!

AWAY DAYS | West Ham United
Albion have confirmed third kit with poppies on Saturday, which is somewhat of a surprise given The Hammers’ sky blue sleeves.
Ⓜ️ Navy home socks will be needed, as worn at Wrexham.

Matchday 1️⃣3️⃣ | Kit Predictions 👕
Rare occasion Watford actually need to change.
Derby surely have to wear pink some time!
Hoping to see a new Albion mashup🤞🏻
Likely to be Poppies on a number of kits this weekend - will include on results graphic.

That silver Hampden was one of our best GK shirts, but sadly only really seen with away kit.
Probably the GOAT. Conjures up memories of European clubs using full GK kit when ours were only doing it in internationals. Black shorts with matching stripes, yellow socks. Perfection.

The later shirts had narrower stripes, so yellow was visible before the seam. On the older ones, the amount of green visible on the shoulder varied, presumably by shirt size.
Coventry definitely used Adidas 74 World Cup balls that season. Will look for others!

Agree on the badges. West Ham haven’t worried about that, nor have Preston on brand logos.
Wondered if red socks may appear, but there aren’t any on sale. Do wonder if the third clash shorts are for when the women use the kit, but selling two separate clash shorts seems OTT.

Almost certainly is. Fences look like Highfield Road and Coventry definitely used those white Adidas 1974 World Cup balls that season.

Our guesses for the weekend fixtures.
Saints are the interesting. They have red clash shorts to match the ecru third kit & badge, but will need to change socks. Will it be a black home mashup or will an alternative set appear?

Preston’s away kit made its debut, but paired with home shorts. That leaves 6️⃣ kits still to see league action.
Predictions: 9/12
Blades the wrong way round with midweek/today, thought Pompey might wear black today and Cardiff may change.

ℹ️ Baselayer Watch | Blades
Sheffield United have changed third kit baselayers.
After starting the season in fluo yellow, today saw black undergarments to match the sleeves.
If they wear the kit at Albion, you’d expect them to revert to fluo vs our navy.
