Over the past ten months on a daily basis some Cardinals' fans have exhibited the worst in humanity when it comes to saying and tweeting things about Jacoby Brissett. This insidious "coon" reference is now the second racial slur that was used to describe him in recent days. Over the weekend, one poster called him a mofo n^##&% who never gets hurt. likening him one who "escapes a lynching." The same poster was rejoicing when Jacoby hurt his wrist versus the Broncos with others chiming in to celebrate. Jacoby's been routinely called an embarrassment, a total loser, a loser backup, the worst starting QB in the NFL, a scam artist who didn't deserve a penny more than $1.4M g-ted. In a climate where the team owner continues to face multiple legal battles regarding his abhorrent treatment of black employees. Bidwill is an NFL owner who hosted a Charlie Kirk vigil in State Farm Stadium. Fact is, Arizona is one of the most racially volatile states in America. All of this is not lost on the majority of the players in the Cardinals' organization. And it is one of the more conspicuous reasons why the team plays its worst football at home amidst in a stadium that is half filled with opposing fans, the terrible irony being that State Farm Stadium has not looked anything near united as it was on this occasion a little over a year ago: #BidwillOut

Man, this is sheer brilliance from Christopher Maddox. From the resourcefulness of this professional style of survey to his compellingly sane argument for change. In my opinion, it is also brilliant of Chris to don his didactic and even-measured tone when for many of us this #BidwillOut mission gets so personal that it's impossible not to get pissed off and sound completely fed up. However, Chris manifests a highly rational and encouraging message that actually has the best chance to resonate with a businessman like Michael Bidwill who very well may be concerned not only about the Cardinals' failures on the football field but about trying to salvage the Bidwill family's legacy. You are something absolutely special, Chris. I cannot thank you enough. You, like Joanna J. Love, Mr.Az Sports (and all of the wonderful donors) and even new teammates like Big Cat make me so proud to be on the most united Cardinals' fans' team of all time.
‼️ Cardinals Fans ‼️ Thanks to everyone who filled out the Fan Survey! Here's an update on what's happening now and a few of my thoughts as well.

Yes, except, if they can, ticket holders should wait first to see if the major changes in the front office and coaching staff (a) happen and (b) bring renewed excitement and hope. #BidwillOut
One of the biggest ways to make an impact is to cancel season tickets for next year. The issue is, people don’t want to give up their seniority. I get it, but that’s how you make a LOUD impact if 25%-50% or more fans cancel their tickets.

#BidwillOut going viral on a national scale, thanks in part to awesome NFL pundits like Big Cat.
Big Cat is on the warpath against Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill and lists some of the shitty things he has done as owner over the years:

#BidwillOut has serious legs with regards to Bidwill's and his minions' breaking of NFL rules, plus his sordid history of workplace misconduct. Asking a personal assistant to falsify jet travel logs, and even worse, asking her to package and mail a firearm to Florida is so egregiously unlawful --- plus the NFL's recent indefinite suspension of Ryan Gould (Cardinals' Director of College Scouting) for violating the league's gambling policy by taking advantage of inside information is so scandalous it poses as a significant threat to the integrity and well-being of the NFL. This is not the time to rule anything out or to be cynical about any possible outcome.
Just gotta put this out there. #BidwillOut is a fair “movement” but nobody should be spending time and money saying, sharing and bilboarding “sell the team.” It needs to be “hire a team president” and “hire Kurt.” The focus should be on something possible.

Plus, what people don't realize, Simi Fehoko runs in the 4.39 - 4.42 range and was teammates at Stanford with Michael Wilson and Elijah Higgins.

I like Fehoko a lot, he has great hands and seems to get open

While the connection that Jacoby Brissett was making with Zay Jones before Jones' injury last season was good, signing him now when MLF has yet to untap Simi Fehoko (most under-rated WR on the team and a bona fide red zone threat) and Reggie Virgil (who has flashed playmaking ability and slippery deep speed) while already having a Zay Jones-type of WR in Kenrick Bourne feels redundant and superfluous.

It was a rough finish, no question, after a rough first half of passive red zone play calls and as awfully called and managed 2-minute drill one will ever see --- weird coming off a game where all the offense scored was 6 FGs (thank goodness in a win) --- but, to be fair, being asked "are there any plays you'd like to have back?" is not only rhetorical, it was baiting a highly frustrated QB who had just endured not only the pain of the loss, but 32 QB pressures, 13 QB hits and 3 sacks. Then, to criticize him for avoiding more sacks by throwing it into the ground while not incurring any grounding penalties, is Southwestern anti-Jacoby bias. Any NFL coach will tell you it was smart to avoid the sack and not get flagged.
MLF = the 🃏?

Check LaFleur's play calling in the 1st half. Particularly in the red zone where in 2 tips in the first half he ran a TE bubble screen for -2, 2 dives into the line for -1 combined, one completely covered fade pass, a RB seam pass where Jacoby threw a dime and it was dropped and a 6-yard pass on 3rd and goal from the 8 which was supposed to set up a 4th down and goal from the 2 but the call got in late and with two timeouts to work with LaFleur doesn't use one to prevent a delay of game. Then consider one of the absolute worst 2-minute drills you will ever find using mush huddles that took the clock down from 1:47 to 0.30 for a 5-yard pass at 1:42 to a 1-yard pass down to 1:15 to a sack at 0:30. Still had the two timeouts. Jacoby the bigger issue? It's not the truth.
Replying to @WBJMItch
I agree LaFleur deserves criticism, but I think Jacoby is the bigger issue. Arizona averaged 21 PPG in his starts under Petzing and 20.3 under LaFleur. Two different systems, essentially identical results.

Yes, Thom. I never thought MLF would implement a "different style of offense that I have never run before." Hearing this today, makes me realize more than ever why this offense is not best suited for Jacoby. It would seem to favor a more mobile QB who is better at dinking and dunking and escaping the pocket. I am also concerned about how the precision of the route running has dropped off under MLF's watch. Very undisciplined. The irony is that MLF was a WRs coach in SF and should know better than this --- in the same way Gannon was a defensive backs coach who wasn't able to develop the fundamentals and confidence of any of his young CBs.

Walter, wasn't one of your biggest arguments for JB at QB, the need for an experienced QB to implement the complicated MLF offense?

At Red Rain we've been saying from the get-go that MLF's offense is not similar to McVay's or Shanahan's. Wasn't the point of hiring MLF (who's only run an offense for 3 seasons, 2 in NY and 1 in AZ so far with little success) having an offense that taps into the best concepts and constructs of McVay's and Shanahan's? Who influenced MLF to concoct a "different style" that he's never run before? This "different style" offense is about as small-ball and vanilla as offenses get. The play calling in the red zone has been ultra conservative to the point of being passive. It's like he's afraid to take shots into the end zone. There are no creative pet plays down there and MLF didn't know how to use Marv in the red zone where he is insanely talented. 4 plays in NY not one to Marv who was being covered by a CB2. What about MLF's plan for J. Love? He's like having him play in a phone booth. The point of NFL offenses isn't ball control, it's scoring. And the problem, as we have seen with ball control offenses is that one bad penalty and/or too many critical 3rd down conversions can derail the drive. Thus far, MLF looks like the anti-BA. He's the passive, make no key adjustments in-game ands week to week Jonathan Gannon type of offensive coaches. After going 0-5 in the red zone versus the Rams, look at his play calling versus Denver. Sideways screen passes, running for 0 yards on 2nd downs, running 6-yard passes on 3rd and goal from the 8. Then supposedly going for it on 4th and goal and yet with 2 timeouts available, watching his offense take an inexcusable delay of game penalty. His inexperience as a play caller is in full evidence. And now we are learning he's running a style of offense, as an inexperienced play caller, that he's never run before. No wonder why this offense repeatedly sputters and falls short.
“It’s a different style offense than I’ve ever run.” Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur discusses the Cardinals’ red-zone struggles and what needs to change to finish drives.

Here's the issue with MLF in the red zone --- too many sideways passes, 2nd down runs and throws under the goal line at the expense of not taking shots into the end zone. Look at this play, 3 Cardinals to 4 Broncos and they blew it up for a 2-yard loss like they knew it was coming. The next play was a run into the middle of the line for a loss of 1 yard. On 3rd and goal from the 13-yard line the one shot they took into the end zone was dropped by Bam Knight. How about running that Bam pass on 1st down? The next red zone trip: Trip #2 (thanks to ESPN) 6:19 2nd Quarter 1st & Goal at DEN 8 Incompletion 6:19 - 2nd (Shotgun) J.Brissett pass incomplete short right to J.Brooks (J.McMillian). End zone fade pass. 2nd and Goal at DEN 8 0-yd Run 6:15 - 2nd T.Allgeier up the middle to DEN 8 for no gain (M.Roach). 3rd & Goal at DEN 8 6-yd Pass 5:36 - 2nd (Shotgun) J.Brissett pass short middle to T.McBride to DEN 2 for 6 yards (J.McMillian). Again, Cardinals had 3 plays from the 8-yard line and took only one shot into the end zone. If they are going to pass underneath the goal line for 6 yards on 3rd down it means they are going for it on 4th down --- except that even with 2 timeouts in his pocket, MLF watched his 4th down offense take a delay of game penalty. Inexcusable. Especially for an offense that hadn't scored a TD in 5 red zone trips the week before. SOS, different game, same passive approach.
One example of why I have a hard time blaming LaFleur for the red zone struggles. When this ball is thrown (on first and goal from the 8), the screen looks set up for 5+ yards. Maybe even a TD.

No, KC, because after Kyler got his bag, it appeared that his number one priority in AZ was self-preservation. Jacoby won the faith and respect of the locker room because of his leadership, preparation and toughness. As Fro said, "he takes a hit and plays for the boys." Therein lies the difference.
Replying to @WBJMItch @HydnAZ

Jalen and his agent have two great plays to show teams --- the great catch over the middle to set up the game winning field goal versus the Rams --- and the superb catch RAC to the one-yard line in the Broncos' game.
