Earlier today, the Secretary to the Western Cape Provincial Parliament Ressida Begg, presented on the topic “Oversight over Artificial Intelligence: A Western Cape Provincial Parliament AI Framework” at the 60th General Meeting of The Society of Clerks-at-the-Table in Commonwealth Parliaments (SOCATT) as part of the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference. On Monday 14 September, the WCPP Members joined delegates from across the Commonwealth for the Official Opening Ceremony of the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Cape Town. Opening the conference on behalf of the President of South Africa, Minister for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Maropene Ramokgopa called on Commonwealth Parliamentarians to work together to uphold the values of the #Commonwealth. Hosted by the Parliament of South Africa and the CPA South Africa Branch, the 69th CPC is one of the largest gatherings of Commonwealth Parliamentarians.
