Solidarity with Germany's striking youth against the war madness. For the fourth time in a year, tens of thousands of German school and university students are walking out of their classrooms today. In more than 100 cities, from Kiel to Munich, they're sending a simple message: "Die Reichen wollen Krieg – Die Jugend eine Zukunft" ("The rich want war – the young want a future"). This mass movement is a direct response to the militarisation of German society. The new military service has begun, and with it the call-up of every young man for a military medical assessment. But the youth are answering back: 80 to 90% of young Germans oppose this new conscription. They refuse to serve as cannon fodder for the interests of big corporations and arms dealers. What's happening in Germany today concerns all of us. 
All across Europe, governments are trying to force military service and militarisation on our youth. On the one hand, billions are being found for F-35s, frigates and attack helicopters. On the other, we're told there's no money left for schools, hospitals, public transport, the climate transition, or preventing disasters like wildfires and floods. Every euro poured into war is taken out of our pockets: the pockets of working people and the young. That's what this is really about. 
And this mobilisation has only just begun. On 20 November 2026, the first European youth strike against militarisation and conscription will take place. Actions are already planned in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and many other countries. Full support to all these young strikers standing up for their future!
