Shame: Another vital infra project neglected!
MVR Infra was awarded the #Whitefield Metro Extension contract in March 2024 with an 18-month deadline. It’s now been 28 months, not an inch moved ahead.
This 588-metre extension to Belathur Colony will add a reversal crossover, improving Purple Line train operations and frequency. It’s disappointing that such a small but critical project has been left stalled for years. Commuters would already be benefiting from better service had it been completed on time.

MVR Infra was awarded the #Whitefield Metro Extension contract in March 2024 with a completion deadline of 18 months.
It’s been 19 months, and not even a centimetre of work has started. Hard to imagine when this will actually be completed.

Never imagined the 8–10 shops encroaching on the footpath on #ECCRoad would be removed. The Safe Footpath Campaign by @krishnabgowda is showing great results. Similar clearance of encroachments happened around ITPL too. 👏
If this can be done in just one month after he took oath, just imagine what the other gentlemen have done for years and decades!! They all enjoyed that premier tag, that’s all.

Sir @krishnabgowda The 300-metre underpass at #Hopefarm Whitefield has been in the news for over a decade, 11 years to be precise.
• On 11 September 2024, BBMP announced that construction would begin soon, following 11 years of delays.
• In the first week of June 2026, Commissioner D.S. Ramesh visited the site and directed officials to complete the work within the next 3–4 months.
This is the current status of the underpass. We request you to kindly visit the site and issue strict directions, as the pace of work is extremely slow. You might be aware that this is one of the busiest intersections due to proximity to several IT offices and frequent movement of heavy vehicles to and from CONCOR.
