Tweed Specialists. Tailoring with a creative, personal & made to measure service.

Edinburgh, Glasgow & London
Tweed brings something of the outdoors into the wardrobe. Its textured surface and depth of colour sit naturally beside weathered stone and harbour water. Our approach to tailoring preserves that connection, giving the cloth a refined shape without losing its rugged character.

Rooted in Scottish cloth and informed by traditional tailoring, each piece is considered for how it will be worn, how it will age and the place it may hold in a wardrobe. Distinctive in character, practical in spirit and intended to remain relevant beyond a season. #WalkerSlater

Since 1989, Scottish cloth has been the starting point for Walker Slater’s approach to dressing. The Ronay brings that approach into focus: Harris Tweed in Aqua, a cropped body that complements a high waist, and a generous notched collar recalling women’s tailoring of the 1940s.

The new Ronay Harris Tweed Jacket in Aqua is brought into softer conversation with the Willow Skirt in Shale herringbone. The shades give the look coherence, while the difference in weave lends it depth. The blue-striped Ella Cotton Oxford Shirt lends freshness at the centre.

The beauty of this Shetland tweed lies in the conversation between its colours. Chestnut gives the Edward Jacket and Ted Trousers warmth and substance; the fine blue windowpane cools the warmth of the Shetland tweed and draws the eye into its texture.

Against the pale light and weathered rock of the Scottish coast, navy stripes take on an easy elegance. The Leven suit draws upon the familiar language of double-breasted tailoring, shaped through the waist and cut with a longer, distinctly feminine line.

Cut in Navy, the Hardie jacket and trousers hold a quiet presence against the shifting light of the Scottish coast. The natural shoulder, open shirt and tapered silhouette keep the tailoring relaxed, even as the wind moves in from the water. walkerslater.com

This season, the Abbey Jacket is presented in Flat Linen, Fawn, layered with the softly draped Julia Shirt in Tobacco. The much loved Hardie Jacket is cut in Navy Hopsack linen, fully unlined and cut with an unpadded shoulder for a softer expression of classic tailoring.

Our linen collection celebrates Scotland's coastal spirit through cloth as much as colour. Woven to echo the rich texture of wool, the linen develops a subtle, tweed-like character while remaining naturally light and breathable.

Edmund Linen Suit | Twill, Pebble Lightweight, breathable, and richly textured, linen is the quintessential summer fabric. Natural variations in thickness along the linen fibre give the resulting cloth a deeply textured and slightly slubby look reminiscent of woolen spun tweed.

The Emma Jacket is designed to shift character with the wearer: buttoned fully for a defined line, or fastened through the centre with the collar opened for a softer, more assured silhouette.

Our interpretation of Harris Tweed for summer begins with colour. The palette here takes its cue from North Berwick‘s harbour: stone and navy echo the shoreline and open water, while a single note of corn yellow recalls the weathered harbour walls that bridge land and sea.

A Midnight Blue Harris Tweed, created with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Gold, blue and red flecked through the herringbone, the same colours found in a Hebridean sunset and in the crests of the Armed Forces. Seven years on, still one of a kind.
