π― Totally agree here; I think that adding complexity to decisions is the right way to go; friction is healthy as long as you have something valuable to protect.
Itβs not going to be clean. Some consequences will apply to many stakeholders, and projects will need to make nuanced decisions about where the authority of that decision resides.
But, we do need more complexity in voting and identities β¦within DAOs especially.

Yes. Itβs strange because, in Web3 there are consequences at almost every level, and we are having a hard time processing who should make a decision and why.
Is it the tokenholders with financial stake? The founders who hold legal liability, the developers, the foundation, etc.
Consequences are something that no one faces in web3 when shit hits the fan, because there's such a chain of bad decisions often fueled by nepotism and "vibes" that when things go south, no one wants to acknowledge things and "leaders" just move into the next shiny narrative.

I agree, but most of them still suffer from the same weakness; they need humans/bots to perform transactions in order to generate revenue.
Revenue-generating tokens are going to win in this cycle.
The biggest upside could come from protocols
that share their success with token holders.
