The Greens want to pause hyperscale data centres because they take massive electricity. But data centres run modern healthcare, banking, and public services. Freezing construction doesn't stop our need for digital infrastructure, it just exports jobs, kills investment, and leaves Scotland dangerously dependent on foreign tech grids.
Instead of politicians acting like central planners and shutting down growth, let tech developers pay for their own power connections, carry their own risks, and build the energy supply Scotland needs.
