Still thinking about yesterday. ❤️
What a beautiful way to celebrate Nigeria at 66 reaching people, hearing their stories and putting smiles on faces. 🇳🇬
I’m grateful to have been the channel through which
@telagacharity brought this initiative to Ondo state.

Let’s keep spreading kindness. 🫂🇳🇬
Yesterday, at Telaga Charity, we celebrated Nigeria’s Independence Day a little differently.
We went out to give cash support to people we met, and honestly, their reactions reminded us why kindness matters.
Everyone had a different story, but they all had one thing in common the support came when they needed it most.
~ We met a young man who gathers scrap iron. He told us everything he had gathered was worth about ₦2,500 ($2). When we supported him, he literally jumped for joy.
~ We met an elderly man living with a leg condition, quietly sitting by the roadside. He wasn’t even asking anyone for money. When we reached out to him, the change in his expression almost brought me to tears.
~ A young man helping at a furniture business told us he could earn as little as ₦2,000 ($1.5) from a day’s work. His reaction when he received the support showed us how much that little gesture meant to him.
~ A 400-level student told us he needed ₦10,000 ($8) for his IT report, which will be due the following week. He had no money to sort it out. When we supported him, he was so happy and kept saying, God sent you to me.
~ We also met a man working with a wheelbarrow who told us he had only ₦500 with him. A little support was enough to put a big smile on his face.
~ Another woman described the support as her biggest surprise of October 1st. To her, it was a testimony.
These moments reminded us that sometimes, what may seem small to us can mean so much to someone else.
We’re grateful that Telaga Charity can be a channel of kindness.
This is why we do what we do.
