COVER LETTER WRITING TIPS Your cover letter shouldn’t be your CV written in paragraphs.😔😔 Your CV already tells the recruiter what you’ve done. Your cover letter should explain why it matters. Why this company? Why this role? Why now? Why does the problem this company is solving matter to you? That’s where your story comes in. For example, don’t just say: “I have 3 years of experience in customer service and have handled hundreds of customer inquiries.” Your CV can already show that. Instead, explain why that experience makes this particular opportunity meaningful to you and what connects your background to the company’s mission or the problem the role exists to solve. Think of it this way: CV = What I’ve done. Cover letter = Why it matters. Don’t use your cover letter to repeat your CV. Use it to give the recruiter a reason to care about the person behind it.
