You wanna see how fake the Democrats and the media are? Back in March 2024, under Biden, U.S. officials told Zelensky to stop striking Russia’s energy infrastructure because it was driving up oil prices, risking retaliation, and potentially hurting Biden’s re-election chances. The strikes had already helped push crude prices up nearly 4% since mid-March. They reported it and moved on. No selective outrage. Now Trump raises similar concerns over diesel prices and energy markets, and suddenly it’s nonstop “Orange man bad.” Just goes to show you what a bunch of frauds they are.

Bernie Sanders says the top 1% owns more than the bottom 93%, that fewer than a thousand billionaires got $2.2 trillion richer last year, and that it's "obscene." It's the most seductive and most wrong economic argument of our time. Let me explain why. First, wealth distribution follows a power law. Always. Everywhere. Books, music, startups, followers on X, goals in soccer. A small minority captures most of the value. That's not a bug of capitalism. It's the mathematical signature of every system where value gets created. So the only question that matters isn't "how big is the rich's slice?" It's "is the cake growing, and is the slice of the poorest growing with it?" And the answer is yes. In 1990, more than one human in three lived in extreme poverty. Today it's about one in ten. During exactly the period when billionaires multiplied. Bernie shows you the slice. He never shows you the cake. Second thing he won't tell you: past a certain level, wealth stops being consumption. It becomes capital allocation. Elon Musk isn't sleeping on a pile of cash. He owns stakes in Tesla, SpaceX, xAI. Jeff Bezos owns Amazon stock. That "$2.2 trillion" isn't sitting in a checking account. It's factories, rockets, data centers, millions of jobs. Nobody can eat $100 billion. You can only decide where to invest it. Once you understand that, the whole debate changes. The real question becomes: who allocates capital better? The people who built Amazon, SpaceX and Nvidia? Or politicians? A 5% wealth tax isn't "taking money from the rich." It's taking investment decisions away from people who proved they can create value and handing them to people who proved the opposite. Because the fundamental difference between an entrepreneur and a politician is consequences. The entrepreneur invests his own money. If he allocates badly, he loses everything. The market corrects him brutally, no appeal. That's why most startups die: the system kills bad decisions. The politician invests other people's money. If he allocates badly, nothing happens. Worse, he gets a bigger budget to "fix the problem." Milton Friedman put it better than anyone. There are four ways to spend money. Your money on yourself: you care about price and quality. Your money on others: you care about price. Others' money on yourself: you care about quality. Others' money on others: you care about nothing. Government is the fourth box. By design. Perfect example: California high-speed rail. Approved in 2008 for about $33 billion. Current estimated cost: over $100 billion. Passengers carried: zero. No entrepreneur would have survived that. The politicians who pushed it built careers on it. And when allocation has no consequences, it eventually finds a buyer. A politician who controls billions without accountability becomes the most profitable target in the world for anyone who wants to steer that money. The irony is that the left that rails against billionaires is itself funded by billionaires. George Soros is one of the biggest Democratic donors in history. The Gates Foundation shapes public health policy across the planet. Politicians don't fight billionaires. They pick their own. The ones who fund the state over the ones who compete with it. So if we actually want fewer poor people, we have to stop judging ideas by their intentions and start judging them by their results. And the results are brutally clear. China, 1978: Deng Xiaoping opens the economy to markets. More than 800 million people escape extreme poverty. The largest retreat of misery in human history. Not through redistribution. Through the freedom to build. India, 1991: liberalization. Same movie. South Korea and North Korea: same people, same language, same starting point in 1953. One became one of the most advanced economies on earth. The other has famines. Poland and Ukraine: comparable living standards in 1990. Today the average Pole is more than three times richer than the average Ukrainian. Argentina: a year and a half of liberalization, and the poverty rate falls from over 50% to around 30%. No country in history escaped poverty by punishing the people who build. Every single one did it by letting them build. And if you want to see what Bernie's program looks like in real life, you don't have to imagine it. It exists. It's called France. We've been running it for 45 years. Mass nationalizations in 1981. Two years later, Socialist president Mitterrand has to reverse course into austerity. Retirement at 60. The 35-hour workweek. A wealth tax for 35 years. Hundreds of wealthy households left every year for Belgium, Switzerland, London, taking their capital, their companies and their future taxes with them. Macron finally scrapped it in 2018. Hollande's 75% tax: raised a few hundred million, drove talent out, abandoned after two years. One of the highest tax burdens in the OECD. Public spending around 57% of GDP, a record in the developed world. Last balanced budget: 1974. Public debt: over €3.4 trillion. Mass unemployment for four decades. If taxing the rich and growing the state made people prosperous, France would be the richest country on the planet. It isn't. GDP per capita in France is barely more than half of America's. It's lower than Mississippi, the poorest state in the US. Not a single global tech giant. Our best engineers build Silicon Valley instead. I've been going back and forth between Paris and San Francisco for years. I see it every week. And California is about to replay the movie. Prop 40, on the ballot November 3rd, would take 5% of billionaires' net worth. Even Gavin Newsom, a Democratic governor, opposes it. The state's own nonpartisan budget analyst warns that income tax revenue could drop every year if the wealthy leave. Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Peter Thiel have reportedly already started moving their assets out. You don't fight poverty by shrinking the top. You fight it by growing the cake. Bernie wants a society where nobody has too much. I want a society where nobody has too little. The first has been tried everywhere and produces equality in stagnation. The second lifted a billion people out of misery. Choose.
The top 1% owns more wealth than the bottom 93%. 1 man owns more wealth than the bottom 53% of households. Less than a thousand billionaires got $2.2 trillion richer in the last year. Obscene. Yes. We need a 5% billionaire wealth tax in California and throughout America.

Turns out the spotlight swings both ways. Ilhan Omar spent years saying no one is above the law, until HSI executed a judge-authorized search warrant at her home in an ongoing federal investigation. Daughter of a Somali officer who changed names to enter the U.S. Persistent questions about whether she married her brother. Helped loosen the rules that fueled Feeding Our Future and other Minnesota fraud. Those millions in assets that vanished? Just a “typo.” No one is above the law, Ilhan. That includes you. Who’s ready for the Somalia Express special one-way trip for this particular pain in the ass? ✈️

🚨 OMG. Sec. Scott Bessent is taking NO BS from Dem Sen. Chris Van Hollen right now, he just WENT OFF HOLLEN: You gave a windfall to very wealthy people who don't pay their taxes!! BESSENT: "Senator, WHY would I do that? WHY would I do that? What is your theory of the case, Senator!? I am COMMITTED to collections." HOLLEN first accused Bessent of blowing up IRS enforcement BESSENT: "DEMOCRATS said that the filing system was going to be a DISASTER — but it's been a home run!" "And what you are NITPICKING me on now is the difference between answering a call in 6 minutes and 9 minutes!" "And sir, let me tell you the way the calls used to work, that the IRS under the Biden administration would answer the call in six minutes, and a taxpayer would be on hold for 20 or 30 minutes. Now when the taxpayer's call gets answered, they get serviced right away!" Boom.

🇺🇸 SCOTT BESSENT JUST POSTED THIS: Dear Senator Elizabeth Warren: I have received your October 7 letter, which adds to the mounting body of evidence of your complete paucity of knowledge about financial markets. Rather than take my suggestion of studying introductory economics, you have continued your letter-writing crusade and participation in tabloid fodder about the Treasury Department. Unfortunately, it is difficult to treat your concerns as sincere. As the federal funds rate climbed from near zero to its highest level in 22 years, with inflation hitting a 40-year high, you were a cheerleader for the Biden Administration’s reckless spending. You blamed the economic consequences on the Federal Reserve, rather than your own irresponsible fiscal policies. Your view of the economy depends on who occupies the White House, but your woeful understanding of the issues is consistent. The “interventions” you describe as “unprecedented” have been underway since May 2024. The buyback program has been well received by market participants in bolstering Treasury liquidity, which reduces market volatility, increases the convenience yield of Treasury securities and ensures the best value for the taxpayer. The continued enhancements optimize Treasury market liquidity in primary and secondary markets. The U.S. Treasury market’s liquidity and performance versus global peers is evidence. While you voted for a $5 trillion tax hike on everyday Americans, the Working Families Tax Cuts continue to deliver for families and workers across the country. The average refund this filing season was over $3,400, an increase of 11 percent over the previous year. More than 30 million workers claimed No Tax on Overtime, more than 7 million claimed No Tax on Tips, and more than 37 million seniors claimed their enhanced deduction. More than 34 million families claimed the permanently enhanced Child Tax Credit, and millions of families are utilizing Trump Accounts to unlock a new savings vehicle for children. All of which you voted against. These results are made possible by the employees of the Department of the Treasury, who are working around the clock for the American people. Unsurprisingly, you have responded by criticizing their dedication and aptitude for the job in a recent interview.¹ Despite your malign characterization, the Domestic Finance team you alluded to in your interview is fully staffed relative to historical levels. It is ironic that you have voted against every presidential appointee for a position at Treasury, no matter how impressive the qualifications for the role. Given your newfound interest in Department personnel, I challenge you to reverse course and thoughtfully engage with future nominees and support their confirmation. Finally, my offer of a Foreign Exchange for Dummies tutorial still stands and if you receive a passing grade on the Yale metric, not the Harvard curve, I would be happy to also include a Fixed Income for Dummies. Sincerely, Scott Bessent Then he finished with a handwritten note ✍️ Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day in advance to you and your family. 💀

This is bad. @ABC must take responsibility for their failed journalism. Basic journalistic ethics requires it. A quiet unexplained withdrawal of a false article does not constitute a proper error correction.
@ABC News continues to lie, this time privately to their friends in the press. This was a coordinated influence operation planted by our competition, not "premature publication". 7:01 AM October 7th, story goes live. Within minutes, dozens of high-profile commentators, politicians, and news outlets are sharing it with tens of millions of followers. We immediately contact ABC and demand they correct their false claims - after multiple rounds of refusal, they finally make a single one-word grammar edit. The editors stand by the reporting and insist the false claims are true. Finally, eight hours after I was forced to call them out publicly, they delete everything. The editors hide all the comments, the author deletes his X account, and the story is completely wiped from their website without any explanation, directly violating SPJ ethics standards and ABC's own internal rules. ABC is currently running a coverup operation, ignoring all of our requests for correction/retraction while telling their buddies to spread the word that this was nothing more than a CMS publication timeline error.

Side by side, a real comparison
Another day, another Econ 101 lesson for Professor Warren. Her “Trumpflation” tracker conveniently ignores the Bidenflation tidal wave that crushed American families, cherry-picks wage growth by refusing to acknowledge positive real wage gains since President Trump came into office, and swaps official medical-care CPI data for premium projections when it suits her narrative. The Harvard Square inflationista is offering a statistical sleight of hand, not a serious assessment of today’s U.S. economy. Here is the full picture, including an apples-to-apples comparison of President Trump’s real economic results measured against the failed policies Senator Warren championed under Biden.

🚨 LMFAO!! Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent just dropped his full legendary letter to Elizabeth Warren and it's PURE GOLD. She's sent him over 100 LETTERS pestering him thinking she knows more about economics than Bessent... "Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day in advance to you and your family!" 😂 "I have received your October 7 letter, which adds to the mounting body of evidence of your complete paucity of knowledge about financial markets. And the pure mic drop from the REAL expert: "The "interventions" you describe as "unprecedented" have been underway since May 2024. The IQ difference here is easily in the dozens of points. Elizabeth Warren is in WAY over her head. Let Bessent cook, he knows what he's doing! He's also HILARIOUS 🤣🤣

Remember, the Democrats being mad about Trump’s diesel deal with Putin are saying you should pay higher diesel prices to help Ukraine in its war. Last week they were saying you shouldn’t pay higher diesel prices to help the United States in its war against the country that’s murdered or named thousands of Americans. Just wanted to make sure we’re all clear on how this works.
