My teeth itch every time I hear Tony Blair piping up on world affairs and it’s extraordinary how widespread that sentiment is amongst people of all political persuasions ✍️@WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1tQg

It is English politics that is riven by emotional division with a worrying tendency towards ethno-nationalism. For three ostensibly nationalist parties to have exposed that irrationality and emerged as the adults in the room is smart politics ✍️@WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1twG

Now Thomas has resigned, the party is entering a ‘process’ to select its next leader. That process, of course, will likely consist of picking up the telephone and writing down whichever name Farage barks down the line. It’s the Reform way✍️ @WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1tma

Politics is a scrap for resources that rarely takes a breather to indulge principles, and even then, only if the consequences are accounted for. Such a chink in the darkness was forced open this week by Ed Miliband ✍️@WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1sRG

Burnham’s fine intentions on Israel and privatisation will lead him, eventually, to a definitive choice. Keir Starmer’s likely ascent to gilded dishonour is one path, the other would be much harder ✍️@WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1so5

If you're not repulsed by looking at a Jewish guy, you're an antisemite, apparently. When did this come in?
If this photo doesn’t repulse you then you’re either an antisemite, an Islamist or live in London.

Interestingly hosepipe bans are often not because a shortage of stored water but the infra to clean water to drink & circulate it cannot take the demand for everyone using hosepipes at the same time. Also the places he cites often don’t clean all water to drinking standards
There will be NO MORE hosepipe bans under Reform. We only have them because we’ve been governed by fools. Singapore is a small, crowded island with only tiny rivers to speak of. It hasn’t rationed water since 1964. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are deserts. No hosepipe bans. Britain, famous for rain, has had Tory and Labour governments who have not built a major reservoir in 34 years. The population has grown by 10 million since they built a reservoir. So they tell you to stop watering your garden. Meanwhile housebuilding in Cambridgeshire is on hold because there isn’t enough water to connect the taps. They are making us a third world country. Reform will make reservoirs nationally significant infrastructure to unblock planning. We will build reservoirs faster than any time in history. We will fast-track and build desalination plants. We will ensure a lack of water is NEVER a constraint in Britain. 🇬🇧

A society that can offer no empathy or opportunity for amends to those who transgress is on the bones of its civic arse. Are we really so impoverished now that we don’t have the bandwidth to accept frailties in others at all? ✍️@WildsmithBen wp.me/p8Mk4U-1rfL

Performing monolingus on a thirsty nation.
The law must be changed to ensure emergency alerts and other important announcements are always made in English first. Over 80% of people in Wales don’t speak Welsh. Common sense must prevail.
