TLDR on the Ukrainian "biolabs": - Biological research laboratories exist in Ukraine, just as they do in virtually every developed country. They are used for medical research, disease surveillance, veterinary, public health monitoring, and vaccine development. - A biological research lab is not the same thing as a biological weapons program. It is also not necessarily the same thing as a biodefense facility. These terms are often incorrectly used interchangeably. - The existence of these facilities was not a secret. Many were publicly known and listed on the official websites by both Ukrainian and U.S. government agencies - After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the United States and other partners funded programs to help secure dangerous pathogens, improve laboratory safety, and reduce the risk of accidental releases. It wasn’t about charity or weapons development - preventing outbreaks is far cheaper than dealing with the consequences of a leak. - The key claim made by Russians and some internet commentators is not that labs existed, but that they were evidence of a secret U.S.-run biological weapons program. The document released by the DNI has no evidence supporting that claim.

Trying to work without AI now is like trying to have a foot race with a car. It's quickly going from amusing to just plain sad.

The sad truth is that by co-founding Open AI, @elonmusk brought about the thing that he feared the most, and no, this genie isn't going back in the bottle. It's an arms race now between us and our geopolitical enemies, and losing isn't an option. As a free society, we can strive for AI that respects human rights. The leaders of Russia and China don't give a fuck about that.

Donald Trump on Iran: "a whole civilization will die tonight" I guess threats of war crimes were insufficient. Lets threaten genocide now? This isn't strength. It's desperation. He's gotten himself into a perfectly predictable position with no clear way out other than cutting his losses. Leaving the regime in place, still in position of enough highly enriched Uranium to make multiple bombs, and still choking the strait is an obvious defeat. Does he really prefer committing genocide to admitting a mistake?

If Trump's war in Iran goes wrong, his core supporters won't blame him. They'll blame the "neocons" and "RINOs" around him. How do I know? Because it's what Russian would do. You never blame the Tzar. You always blame his underlings and appeal to him to discipline them.

The ‘world order’ didn’t collapse because Russia invaded Ukraine. It collapsed because the free world chose not to stop them. By refusing to use our wealth & power to defend even a European democracy, we showed dictators everywhere that aggression pays. That was the death blow. We did this to ourselves.

Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” Our President actually wrote that to the Prime Minister of Denmark. This is mental illness. Time for the 25th Amendment.

Trump said that he would intervene if the Iranian regime killed protesters. It killed them by the thousands and he did nothing. He told the protesters to continue, even though they were being killed, promising that "help is on the way". The help never came. Complete betrayal.

In 2019, Russian operatives forged a letter purportedly from Greenland's Foreign Minister Ane Lone Bagger to U.S. Senator Tom Cotton. The fabricated letter thanked the U.S. for financial assistance and indicated plans to expedite a Greenland independence referendum. This, and other evidence, suggests that this has been an information operation by Russian intelligence aimed at weakening NATO for a long time. If you're wonding why, when the largest war in Europe is raging since WWII, Trump would essentially open a second front that is a diverstion that divides Europe's focus and casts doubt about the strength of NATO, you have your answer.

The Epstein controversy comes down to this. Over 1000 victims, we are told, which suggests at least dozens, if not hundreds of perpetrators. And all of them walk, after 10 years of "investigation". We need the answer to a simple question. Was the DOJ grossely incompetent, or complicit? There isn't a third option, unless the massive trafficking ring we're told existed didn't.

Interesting. My feed was starting to get polluted with pro-Nazi posts that contained racist tropes about Jews. I reported two of them, and now, no more Nazis in my feed. Why is that @grok?

Moscow never changes. In 1983, only 7 years from the end, even while waging unaffordable wars and a spiraling economic catastrophe, Russians only doubled down on their own demise, telling us how sanctions only make them stronger. Same global terrorism, same decay, same lies.
