The City of Wolverhampton Council sadly announces the passing of its Leader, Councillor Ian Brookfield. Councillor Brookfield, 57, died yesterday after a fearless battle with cancer, following a diagnosis earlier this year. He was with his loved ones. (1/3)

Very sad. Condolences to all. I got to interview him a few times, and always found him to be a decent guy who was willing to answer any questions. Same age as me too
