Reliable electricity is essential for jobs, businesses, and growth. This is how the @WorldBankGroup is working across institutions to help mobilize private investment at scale, combining @MIGA guarantees with @WBG_IDA and @IFC_org support to expand energy access in Burundi and reach millions of people by 2030.
Record private capital mobilization on the ground.  In Burundi, the @WorldBankGroup is supporting Weza Power through a $10.9M MIGA guarantee, alongside IDA & IFC support, to expand electricity access to 9M people by 2030.  👉 bit.ly/4yitLjK

When farmers work together, they can unlock opportunities that are out of reach individually. Sahyadri Farms shows how collective action can strengthen agricultural value chains, connect farmers to markets, and create new opportunities for rural businesses and jobs.
One farmer can't build a cold chain. One farmer can't run a testing lab. But thousands of farmers working together can.   AgriHero Vilas Shinde helped turn that idea into Sahyadri Farms, one of India's largest farmer-owned agribusinesses.

Great to participate in this event and in such a rich discussion on how to mobilize more private capital for Latin America and the Caribbean. My key takeaways: the capital is there, and our region has the assets, talent and opportunities investors are looking for. But we need to build a much stronger pipeline of bankable projects, improve the business environment, and reduce the risks that hold investment back. That’s where the @WorldBankGroup can make a difference—helping countries prepare and structure investments, while using @IFC_org, @MIGA and World Bank guarantees to crowd in private capital at scale. Ultimately, success means turning that investment into higher productivity, stronger growth, and more and better jobs. Thank you, @AtlanticCouncil, @jmarczak, @adriennearsht, @ACLatAm, @Indiana_Trejos, @JAGlezAnaya and Sergio Londoño @CocaColaCo, for bringing this important conversation forward.
🇺🇸🌎 Exciting afternoon during #ACinNY! We were honored to convene "Bringing US investment to Latin America’s growth agenda" for a conversation on the conditions needed to unlock greater investment and support economic growth across the region. Thank you to Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru Elmer Cuba, Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica @Indiana_Trejos, World Bank's @scordeiroguerra and @CocaColaCo’s Sergio Londoño. 🧵

Adaptation is not only a development imperative. It is a growing economic opportunity.
Great discussion at the #COP31 Business Forum New York Dialogue, co-hosted with @Bloomberg, on how we can mobilize more private capital for resilience.
From cooling technologies and resilient infrastructure to insurance and risk-management solutions, businesses are developing new ways to help economies manage climate risk while creating new markets and opportunities for growth.
At @IFC_org, our job is to help turn those opportunities into investable markets at scale. #UNGA81
