The Iranian Persian Gulf Strait Authority warned ship owners that some charterers are allegedly forcing vessels to use unapproved routes. The warning said such violations could expose vessels, owners, captains and crews to financial and personal risks, while also affecting the vessels’ future ability to transit the Strait of Hormuz. Authorities said companies found violating the rules could be designated as non-compliant, with vessels associated with them facing restrictions on passage through the strait.

Iranian Assembly of Experts member Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was wounded in the February 28 attack on Iran’s leadership office and later pulled from the rubble of a bombed hospital in Tehran. Three hospitals were struck after Khamenei’s hospitalization became known. Heydari said Mojtaba Khamenei was inside the third hospital when it was hit and was subsequently rescued from the debris. Heydari said the Assembly of Experts later received information that Khamenei was in good health and capable of leading Iran, and determined that he met the religious and leadership qualifications required for the position.

Zelensky: Obviously, the Russians are not preparing to stop the war. At least not now. Putin constantly finds some kind of excuse not to meet, not to hold a trilateral format, not to talk, and not to end or stop these killings. Russia needs to develop a desire to spend money not on death, but on something else — to develop a desire there to end this war. This isolation, including facing legal consequences through institutions such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, means it is encountering situations it has never been accustomed to or faced before.
