A major coordinated sabotage attack was just carried out against railway infrastructure in at more than 20 locations in the Netherlands. Large 2 meter-long metal pipes were deliberately attached to the tracks, triggering track-circuit and safety system failures by tricking the grid's computers into registering that the tracks were blocked. Some of the attacked railway lines include: Amersfoort – Zwolle
Zwolle – Leeuwarden Utrecht – Arnhem Arnhem – Zutphen Amersfoort–Deventer Gouda–Oudewater

Mark, by @colossusjeremy. This is a story about the head of history's largest nonterritorial empire, who nonetheless remains a prisoner of his rivals. Has he finally found a way out? The profile has been nearly a year in the making. Stern interviewed three dozen people, including Zuckerberg, his MMA coach, and his critics and competitors at the frontier AI labs. He spoke with his parents, Karen and Ed, and watched their son get punched in the face. The story spans Meta HQ in Menlo Park, the Zuckerbergs' homes in Palo Alto and Lake Tahoe, and a party in a Manhattan warehouse with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet. There is also a sneak peek of Aaron Sorkin's forthcoming sequel about Zuckerberg, sourced via a Hollywood fixer Stern first encountered in Russia. The result is a profile unlike one you've read before. colossus.com/article/mark-zu…

Krankzinnig wanbeleid!
A few weeks later, Europeans are no longer paying 8.6 times as much as Americans for natural gas. They are now paying 12.2 times as much. The chart shows the European TTF gas price.

That’s right: “Economic sovereignty is built long before a trade negotiation begins. It happens when someone starts a company in Toronto rather than moving it to Silicon Valley. When that company can raise enough capital to remain Canadian. When it scales from 100 employees to 10,000. When its founders become investors and finance the next generation. When Canadian companies own technology, brands, intellectual property, manufacturing capacity and supply chains that the rest of the world actually needs.” financialpost.com/opinion/ca…

Very cool writeup by @mirrorphysics about how they are using @modal for drug discovery. We're seeing a ton of growth in computational bio. mirrorphysics.substack.com/p… Who knows, maybe one day I'll be taking drugs that were found on a Modal GPU.

I moved to Stockholm 2 weeks ago and on my 10 min walk to the Lovable office I casually pass Spotify, Klarna, Northzone, Legora and a bunch of startups being built in between. Sweden might actually be cooking.
Sweden is perhaps one of the world’s hottest tech hubs right now. And Sophia Bendz, a general partner at Cherry Ventures, stopped by Equity to break down the latest in Stockholm’s startup ecosystem. Her answer for why the country has produced so many buzzy startups? Being a founder is actually cool. spr.ly/6016B1FJUn

This is a picture of Estée Lauder getting one step closer to her life’s goal: Set The World Record For Face Touching From her autobiography: "All of this annoyed my father considerably. "Stop fiddling with other people's faces," he'd say. But that is what I liked to do-touch other people's faces, no matter who they were, touch them and make them pretty. Before l'm finished, I'll set the world's record for face touching."
