I’m voting for Write-in Avery Ayers.
I’m not picking either of the other two. James Talarico pulled in about $68 million, and Republican groups are lining up around $166 million in ads for Ken Paxton. That’s not “support,” that’s an investment. Nobody moves that kind of money unless they expect a return.
And that return isn’t for regular people’s benefit. It’s for the donors — the ones who get the meetings, the phone calls, and the votes when their bills come up. Regular people don’t get that. We get crumbs. And let’s be real — one seat is one vote out of 100, and half the stuff they’re promising isn’t even something one senator can do.
The media treats it like a boxing match because the fight pays. Stations sell the ads. Campaigns buy the ads. They made it into a show, and a lot of people fell for it.
I’m not voting for Ken Paxton. Impeached by his own party’s House, acquitted by the Senate, securities case, whistleblower judgment — that’s the record. I’m not sending that to Washington, and I’m not impressed that his side thinks nine‑figure ad buys are how you earn a seat.
@AveryCampaign is a write‑in from Jersey Village, Air Force, not a funded machine. That’s the point. My vote is for a regular person, not whoever won the auction.
We need regular people in the Senate too — it’s already packed with career politicians.
