🫵CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH?
Most people think the Bible and the Quran are basically the same story told two ways. They are not. One of them is written to undo the other.
The Bible is not a made-up book of fairy tales. It names real kings, real cities, and real events that keep showing up in archaeology: David’s dynasty, Hezekiah’s tunnel, the return from exile under Cyrus, Pilate, the pool of Bethesda. You can argue about what it means. You cannot honestly say none of it happened.
The ending of Islam does not finish the Bible’s story. It flips it.
The Bible says a ruler will make a seven-year deal. People will be forced to take a mark of loyalty on the right hand or the forehead. An image will be set up and made able to speak, and people who refuse to worship it will be killed, including by beheading. The answer is not another prophet finishing a different religion. It is Jesus coming back in the sky on a white horse, with the armies of heaven behind him, to destroy that ruler and his prophet.
Islam tells the opposite ending. A leader called the Mahdi shows up. In the Shia version he is the twelfth Imam. People pledge loyalty to him beside the Black Stone in Mecca, and he rules for about seven to nine years. Then their Jesus, called Isa, comes down. He is not the Jesus who died on the cross and rose. He comes as a Muslim, prays behind the Mahdi, breaks crosses, and kills a deceiver called the Dajjal, who has “unbeliever” written on his forehead. The Jesus Christians are waiting for, the one coming back from the sky, is the one this story is set up against.
Then there is the stone. Islamic teaching says that on Judgment Day the Black Stone will be given two eyes and a tongue so it can speak for everyone who touched it. Older tradition says the holy house in Mecca will come to Jerusalem before the end. Set that next to the Bible’s warning: an image given breath so it can speak, and death for anyone who will not worship it. A stone people kiss on pilgrimage, then given eyes and a mouth, in the city of the Temple, looks a lot like that image. Their Jesus arrives to bless that order. The Bible’s Jesus arrives on the white horse to end it.
Look at how Islam started. The Islamic sources say Muhammad was alone in a cave when a being grabbed him and squeezed him three times, so hard he could not stand it, and ordered him to recite. He ran home shaking, told his wife Khadijah to cover him, and said he was afraid for himself. He thought it might be an evil spirit. She told him a good man like him would not be disgraced, and took him to her cousin, who said it was the same angel who came to Moses. His wife is the one who talked him out of his fear.
The Bible already warns about that. It says Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. A man alone in a cave, crushed by a spirit, then reassured by his wife, is exactly the kind of moment that warning is about.
The Quran also describes its god in a way the Bible’s God refuses. It says Allah is the best of schemers, using the same word it uses for a secret plot. The Bible says God does not lie. It says the devil is a liar and the father of lies.
Put it in order. A spirit in a cave that Muhammad himself feared. A wife who convinced him it was good. A book that denies Jesus died and rose. A different Jesus sent to set up Islam and fight the one coming back from heaven. A stone given eyes and a mouth to speak for the people who kissed it. A god praised as the best of schemers.
If the Bible is right that Satan can look like an angel of light, the simple reading is this: Islam did not come to explain Christianity. It came to replace it, and to be on the other side when the real Jesus comes back.
