I can’t turn off the heat yet because the egg isn’t cooked. Or should I add two eggs to make the dish look prettier? Okay, I’ll add two eggs! And now… all I have to do is stand here and wait. Everyone, the egg whites aren’t even turning white yet! I’m hungry! Can you hurry up and cook already? Are the noodles really cooked? Let me taste them first… OH! They’re cooked! My tongue is cooked, too! (Quickly walks over to the fridge to get some water. 🤣) Okay, I think everything is cooked now. But my eggs have disappeared! Who took my eggs?! Wait… are the spring onions cooked yet? I guess everything’s cooked by now. I’ll turn off the heat. (Shows the dish again after serving it in a bowl.) Doesn’t it look delicious? Mmmmmm… It’s spicy! Right now, I’m making Tom Klong instant noodles with spring onions and pork. Someone told me to skim off the foam, but I still haven’t seen any. The pork slices are actually separating now! But some of them are still stuck together. Maybe the pot is so hot that this piece of pork wants a friend, so they’re holding hands really tightly. 🤣🤣 What should I do now? Should I put the lid on? And why do I need to cover it? …The water’s starting to boil now! It’s covering all the pork. Oh! There really is foam! It’s actually foaming! But I don’t have a spoon. Okay, I found one! Now, where am I supposed to put the foam? Should I throw it away? I’ll scoop it into this bag, I guess. There’s so much foam! What should I do? Sorry for asking so many questions about the foam, but now there’s foam everywhere! Why is there so much of it? Is all of this safe to eat? Ohhh, what am I supposed to do now? There’s SO MUCH foam! So much that it looks like fabric softener! Turn down the heat! Lower the heat! Oh my gosh, everyone, there’s really so much foam! What should I do? Okay… it’s settling down now. See? How did I not know that?! Oh! According to the recipe, I need lime juice, right? But I don’t have any limes. What should I do? It looks like it’s going to be spicy. Let’s just throw in another cup of instant noodles! Okay, everyone, give me a second! Everyone, the pork still isn’t cooked! Some pieces look cooked, but others are still raw. It’s such a shame I don’t have any lime. (Reads the instructions.) Make sure the pork is fully cooked. …Okay. What? I’m supposed to add the spring onions now? Wait, not yet! The noodles are still hard and crunchy! Ohhh, I can add the spring onions now? Okay! Listen to me. You have to go in there. Okay, I’ll just chop the ones that I think need chopping. I’ll go with my gut feeling. 😂 But P’Khai Dao said to put the whole onions in. Okay, whole onions it is… Give me a second. I’ll add water first. How much should I put in? P’Khai Dao said one-third of the pot. (Pauses to think.) According to the recipe, I’m supposed to put the onions in first. Then I boil everything, right? Can I start boiling it now? Then what did I bring the chopping board out for? (Reads the instructions.) The stove needs to be plugged in. …Plugged in? I don’t know how to do that! Can’t I just use the microwave instead? Give me a second. I really don’t want to do this alone. 😅 P’Khai Dao, please come over here! I’m ready! Wait, I have to plug it in first? (Bumps her head against the kitchen counter. 🤣) …What does this button do? (Turns on the range hood.) Oh! Never mind. I’d rather not turn it on. It’s too loud. (Picks up the cup of instant noodles, ready to open it.) Ohhh, I’m not supposed to add this yet! Then what am I supposed to put in first? I’m following P’Khai Dao’s instructions. Okay, I guess I can put the pork in first. But here’s the question: this pork is frozen. Do I need to defrost it first? Everyone, do I need to defrost it? Okay, I’ll defrost it in the microwave first. But how am I supposed to get the pork out of the packaging? 🥹 Oh, my life! (Reads the instructions.) Put the whole packet in. …Okay. Which button do I press to defrost it? How many minutes should I set it for? And will the pork come out fully cooked? I have to keep moving the light around with me because otherwise I might get dizzy. While I wait for the pork to defrost, I’ll wash the spring onions. (Picks up a knife.) I’m not supposed to show the knife, right? Then I’ll have to hold the camera higher. I’m going to cut off the roots because it’s hard to wash all the dirt off. I’m worried they won’t be clean enough. The recipe says to put the whole spring onions in, and I should wash them several times. I don’t have a proper vegetable-washing basket. Let’s move the camera over to the stove.
