BBC Radio 4’s news flagship show this morning cut out Ed Sheeran’s condemnation of 7 October, leaving listeners with only his words on Gaza. Why did the BBC choose to make such a biased editorial call?

96% of Jews in Poland were murdered by the Nazis. That is genocide. 3% of Gaza’s population, mostly male combatants, died in the war they started. That is not genocide.

This is the face of a man in search of institutionalised sadism.  In the C17th you just know he’d have been shrieking at little girls and elderly ladies as they were tied to pyres and set aflame for witchcraft. In 30s Germany his angry mouth might even have cracked a cruel smile as children were torn from their mothers and bundled into the chambers. Except that in Germany he’d have had to keep a slightly lower profile, for reasons he might not have twigged.  I dread to think what is on this person’s computer 🤮

In what world did the Government think it acceptable to delete every response to the consultation that helped draft the anti-Muslim hostility definition — Britain’s new Islamic blasphemy law? It is clear there has been a cover-up in Angela Rayner’s Communities Department. Did ministers allow extremists to influence the definition while excluding the Free Speech Union and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) from the process? This is a national disgrace. The public deserves to know the truth. The anti-Muslim hostility definition has already had a chilling effect on free speech. It has been weaponised by activists, police forces and even Labour MPs to silence legitimate criticism and debate about Islam.

If his stories were even partially true, he’d have blurted them years ago when the feelings were raw. He certainly wouldn’t have waited 30 years. No. He’s cashing in his dead sister, who he treated appallingly in her hour of need.

And it get’s worse. My cousin Shahrez’s 2 children of 4 and 6 years old are now missing. There is no limit to their cruelty. Complete disregard for humanity.

This is a disgrace. Now my Aunts Dr. Uzma and Noureen, along with my cousins Shershah and Shahrez have now been abducted as well. They have broken into my aunties and cousins houses and forced them into vehicles with no explanation. No reasons for arrest have been stated. No news has been released as to where they have been taken. This is criminal behaviour. Inexcusable. The Pakistani people are petrified of their own leaders. No upstanding nation should tolerate this criminal establishment. Intervention is now imperative. The world MUST take action.

Today, my aunt, Aleema Khan, has been abducted by police in Lahore. Our family has been told nothing about where she has been taken. Her family and lawyers cannot reach her. This is the behaviour of a fascist government - abducting people, terrorising families and trampling human rights, due process and the rule of law while pretending to stand for democracy. First they imprisoned my father. Now they are coming after his family. We demand immediate access to her for her family and lawyers, full disclosure of where she is being held, and her immediate release. The world cannot keep looking away from what is happening in Pakistan.

My mother, Aleema Khan @Aleema_KhanPK, was abducted a few hours ago. We still have no information about where she is being held. Leaving her family in the dark about her whereabouts is indefensible. If cowardice had a face, this politico-military government would be it. @Kasim_Khan_1999

Here’s what the media doesn’t tell you about the caricature of Israel you have in your mind. In less than two hours, over 7 million Jewish Israelis will mark Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Some will go to synagogue. Some will go to the beach. Nobody will drive unless they have to. Many will not eat or drink for 25 hours, religious or not. Then you have over 2 million Arab Israelis who will go on with their lives as usual. Many will not drive in mixed cities out of respect for their Jewish neighbors. Nobody will drive in Jewish neighborhoods. And the hospitals will only be filled with Arab doctors and nurses to let their Jewish colleagues observe the day at home. (The opposite happens on Ramadan.) Not long ago I went out to run a few last-minute errands before the holiday begins. Every Arab I interacted with – at the dry cleaners, in the supermarket, in the elevator – wished me an easy fast. Every one. It happens every holiday. Any holiday. Their holidays and ours. This is the real Israel. A country filled with Jews and Arabs that get along better than anywhere else on this planet, that nobody shows you because it’s simply not newsworthy. It’s everyday life. This is awesome. Good for Ed Sheeran I remember the hell of going through this kind of thing 5 years ago (for praising Andy Ngo’s expose on Antifa and BLM). Insane public scrutiny and media attention. But the actual painful part was seeing friends take the side of the mob. Guys who had been groomsmen at my wedding. Cowards. The beauty of these situations is you clear out the clowns. All the bullshit in your life. Gone. And some unexpected heroes emerge. And the new friends and family on the other side are real. It’s glorious, actually. God is good. Ed Sheeran did not cancel anyone. The venue owner and promoters did. But Ed Sheeran was nevertheless cancelled for not bowing to the baying Gaza-brain mob. He’s proved to be built of strong stuff Good for him

To @piersmorgan and so many others. A prominent Gaza journalist states that if you didn't report what Hamas wanted you'd be "disappeared." That's why the notion of international journalists waltzing into Gaza to report anything other than Hamas propaganda is preposterous.
