@ACR_POKER is running a full-blown stiff/freeroll sportsbook, let me walk you through why that is and why keeping money on their site, even for poker, is irresponsible. I deposited 30k about a month ago thinking it would be like any other sportsbook. You win; they pay you. You lose; they keep your money. That’s how things normally work, but that’s not what happens
@ACR_POKER. At ACR: lose, they keep your money. Win, you need to pay them $15,493 in rake slowly over 100's of hours playing poker to even get your deposit back.
I had a bit of a back and forth battle with them betting football. I was up about 10k but then last weekend hit and I was all in on Giants, Chiefs, and Bills. All those games ended up going my way and my balance went up quickly to 92k over a weekend. 30k of which is my initial deposit and the rest was mostly winnings from those 3 games and running hot. Had all those teams lost, I would have lost the majority of my money including part of the 30k deposit. They would have taken my 30k without saying a thing. They would happily let me deposit more, knowing I’d probably never see it again regardless of winning or losing. The deck was stacked against me and I had no idea.
They limited me from the sportsbook after that, saying they don’t want my action. Fine, I will withdraw and play somewhere else. NOPE, my withdrawal will not be approved until I pay $15,493.45 in rake. That is NOT a playthrough amount, that is what I need to pay in direct rake in pots I win. It’s a direct payment to ACR. Ex. I win a $20 pot and pay $1 in rake, that’s $1 of the $15k in DIRECT RAKE from my pots alone that I need to pay to withdraw. I would need to dedicate 100’s of hours to playing poker and pay them 50% of my initial deposit to withdraw my money. Where is that an acceptable business practice? Reminder, when I lose, they don’t make any payments to me, they enjoy my money. Full-blown stiff/freeroll.
They will cite terms and conditions saying you must pay rake based on deposits and winnings. Then they even just lie about what the terms say, one term saying I would need to pay 10% of deposits in rake to withdraw, $3,000 in this case. Later on in terms they say 10% of deposits + wins, which would be about $9,200 in rake (direct payment to even get my original 30k back). Where does the $15,493 come from? I asked 4 different times, they have not provided a breakout. It’s just a magical arbitrary number they came up with to make sure they can keep my $92,000.
They made these terms because they know people won’t be able to play 1000 poker hours to get their money out. Others have been stolen from before. I am not the first and if these tactics go unnoticed, people will be stolen from in the future. I hope this is just an oversight
@WPN_CEO and you are able to resolve this issue. Allow me to withdraw my full balance, the same way you'd take my money if my bets lost.
