BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. will execute a Palestinian-origin man in a live-streamed TV special, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced this morning.
The “Fort Hood shooter” Nidal Malik Hasan will be killed by a military firing squad. The world will be able to tune in to watch the event on Thursday, December 3 at 1 pm.
“We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public,” said Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, revealing the news on a small pro-Trump TV outlet, Real America’s Voice News.

In 2009, Hasan killed 13 people in a shooting at the US military base, later saying that he did it to stop them killing more people in Afghanistan. He will be executed on December 3 at 1pm at Fort Hood base, to reflect the time and place of his crime.
US President Donald Trump has in the past condemned Iran for executing criminals, and even suggested this would be a reason for military action against the country, agencies noted.
Already, scores of voices on social media have warned that a televised execution in this way would turn the Palestinian former US army psychiatrist into a martyr, increasing enmity against the United States.
While 55 places retain the death penalty, including Singapore, Japan, China, and Saudi Arabia, very few countries conduct public executions: exceptions include Taliban-run Afghanistan, and some local courts in Somalia.
