8. The Standalone Frosting Hack
Costco's buttercream and chocolate icing have a cult following. People literally buy the sheet cakes just to eat the frosting.
What you might not know: Many locations (especially Business Centers) sell the frosting as a standalone inventory item in massive 8lb tubs.
Just walk up to the bakery and ask.
They restrict this in regular warehouses because selling raw ingredients cannibalizes the sales of their high-margin finished cakes.

9. The "Prime" Downgrade Loophole
Costco grades their beef with blue labels (Prime - highest quality) and white labels (Choice - standard). But cattle are graded as whole carcasses, not individual steaks.
A "Choice" cow can frequently produce a steak with "Prime" level marbling.
Furthermore, if butchers are overstocked on Prime and need to move inventory quickly, they will sometimes package premium Prime meat under the cheaper Choice white labels.
The move here: Don't just look at the sticker color. Inspect the marbling on the white-label steaks. You can routinely find Prime-tier beef hiding at standard prices.
