NEW YORK SCRAPPY. The name says it all. Today was a perfect example of what it means to have fight and heart. Scrappy went to the lead, took pressure, got headed in the stretch—and instead of giving in, he dug back in, fought his way back, and refused to lose. That’s what SCRAPPY looks like. His 3rd win in a row and 5th win since we claimed him. Horses like this make racing so much fun. You know every time he steps onto the track, he’s going to give you everything he has. Congratulations to all of our partners and connections, and a great job by trainer Ilkay Kantarmaci, his entire team, and everyone who plays a part in keeping this horse happy and performing at his best. Of course, great ride by Flavien Prat. Most of all, thank you to New York Scrappy for continuing to give us races and memories like this. What a fighter. What a horse.
