Fun fact: The CBC used to not only be Gov. radio, they also policed the airwaves (and still do under a different name) When the CTV first started as private competition the CBC banned them from using "Canada" in their name. To this day "CTV" doesn't actually stand for anything

Adm. Sam Paparo, commander of the US Pacific Command, calls a Global News reporter's question about military action against Canada "needlessly emotional" and an "utterly preposterous" idea. "Would you ask me, please, also, what my attack plans are for the Martians?" he adds.

Liberalism works for the average person precisely when the average person works for himself.

You can hate this, but until you find a liberalism that works for the average person the shift will continue.

The instinct that β€œI don’t like this, therefore it should be banned” is illiberal, confused, unhealthy, and ultimately contrary to the general trajectory of Western civilisation.

Chris Hayes, ID Dev, says that recent cuts will make it impossible to deliver AAA games. He offers no specifics. You can SAY this...media also widely reported that Elon's cuts to X would make it IMPOSSIBLE to continue. But they were wrong. You can run AAA game teams about about 1/3rd the size and I think you will actually create better games. Team sizes have grown way too large to be manageable. It creates a team where nobody feels ownership over the game, dilutes the vision, and kicks responsibility for the result up to Mgt. Also, see Mythical Man Month. I don't see one study where tripling game team sizes (yes, they have tripled or more) has resulted in better overall AAA games or delivered faster (they have slipped to 6-7 years of dev now for new titles). I see no proof anywhere that increasing team sizes has resulted in anything good for gamers at all. x.com/IdleSloth84_/status/20…

The American Spirit is not exploitation of workers; It's the freedom to access upward mobility through the accruement of skills and the strategic application of them to labor and capital.
The American Spirit isn't complaining about a $20 burrito; it's making a $14 burrito in the same neighborhood and making one million dollars.

"This section allows the government to put reasonable limits on rights if it protects the public good." Which means you have no Rights. And Section 15 guarantees the Gov. can treat people unequally.
Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms is a masterpiece of modern law that genuinely outshines the United States Constitution. While the American framework is stuck in the 1700s, focusing solely on individual freedom at the expense of the community, Canada's Charter successfully balances personal rights with the safety of the whole society. This beautiful balance is not just a legal formula; it defines our very identity as real Canadians. The real brilliance of our Charter is found in Section 1. This section allows the government to put reasonable limits on rights if it protects the public good. This flexibility prevents the extreme political division seen in American debates over gun control and healthcare. Additionally, Section 15 explicitly guarantees equality and supports programs that help disadvantaged groups, actively fighting discrimination. On the other hand, the U.S. Constitution STILL lacks a clear, modern amendment that protects equal rights for everyone. Canada also treats its laws like a "living tree" that grows and changes with the times. This approach allows our human rights to adapt to modern life without getting stuck in government gridlock. By supporting a diverse society, the Charter builds a welcoming community where people look out for one another. Ultimately, Canada’s Charter is a MUCH better set of rules, proving that a country truly thrives when it values caring for its citizens just as much as personal freedom. This document is deeply intertwined with our core national beliefs of peace, order, and government. Every Canadian can stand incredibly proud of this achievement, as it reminds us that our greatest strength lies in our compassion for one another. #canpoli #Canada #Democrats #MAGA
