People are like 'it's a D+80 district; who cares who they elect?' and I would generally agree, accept for the fact that everything is nationalized now and Median Voter thinks the Dems are culturally weird. Not sure how much putting out things about July 4th that say more about Palestine than the US will help that, but I guess I am not a Politics Expert like some of the DSA guys.
Freedom is only possible when we have the conditions for the good life — healthcare, housing, education, and dignity on the job. But the system is rigged and our planet poisoned by billionaires, bosses, and war profiteers. This 4th of July we recommit ourselves to remaking it. To fight for liberation from Palestine to Puerto Rico, for a Green New Deal, for the world we deserve.

The Jeffries bit is the lede, but the first bit — that Dems have “failed to meaningfully deliver for working families” — is what the fight is about. There’s a generation of Dems who think they did enormous good under Obama, then Biden, and Trump tried to rip it up. The generation after says: If you did your job Trump couldn’t have won anyway. But both sides are generally in denial about the cultural and immigration issues that boosted Trump, and want it all to be economic stuff they can fix once those “distractions” go away.
NEW: Melat Kiros in a phone call with @POLITICO after her historic win: “We have to vote out any of the incumbents that are standing in our way by taking that kind of corporate PAC money” That includes not supporting Jeffries for speaker, she said.
