I mean,a complaint is not necessarily an attack on your business;sometimes, it is a customer giving you an opportunity to fix the experience and earn their trust again.
The litmus test of a business is not when everything works perfectly but what happens after the customer says, “something went wrong" and how you handle that moment can determine whether the customer buys from you again, recommends you to others or disappears.
One thing that still surprises me about Nigerian businesses is how quickly some vendors become hostile when you complain about a product you paid for.
You are not asking them for charity. You paid for a service or product, and you are simply asking them to address a problem.
Good customer service is not about never having problems. It’s about how you handle the problem when it happens.
What’s the worst customer-service experience you have had?
