there are many myths surrounding how the beholders formed. some claim they grew from the forest floor, fully formed and carrying memories of everything that had been seen in the past. others say they eyes came first, and the bodies grew up to meet them. in any timeline, proto-beholders came first, carrying the DNA that makes them possible and may hold the key to beholders themselves.

I have been a collector of @ocelikart 's art since he first ventured onto the blockchain several years ago, and am lucky enough to have some physical work of his, so I know that he is a real one with rare talent, and a drive to produce dynamic and compelling work. So when he said to me, "bro, let's do a collab". I knew it had to be something bigger than just an art drop. @_Beholders is different from anything I've done both in art style and in scale of what I am trying to accomplish. But as you come to learn what it's about, and the tech play behind this project, you'll see it relates to everything I've done here . . . And why this partnership makes sense both artistically and conceptually. Why buying one of the first pieces of art put out by a young unknown artist just out of university in Turkey is perhaps the inevitable catalyst leading to what this project represents. That may seem cryptic now, but if you like discovering and supporting new and lesser known artists, pay attention. Wait for the white paper. And see that this web3 space does not have to be split between fine art, tech projects, and tradooors.

The beholders inhabit a world both familiar and new. It is a world that is not completely stable. So they always appreciate the little details, knowing that what exists around them in the moment is just one point in the infinite expanse of possibilities, and they will never experience that same moment again. The art in the collection is a combination of hand painted backgrounds and traits by @ocelikart and code generated eyes, textures and glitch effects programmed by @arbovonderwald

Something deep in the Random Forest has woken up. It is watching everyone who interacts with this. Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholders.
