This is going to be insanely expensive/overbudget before we even start building the high speed rail…
Compensation will go beyond market value if agricultural land is required.
It will also take into account the impact on the remaining land and the farm operation, including some crop losses calculated over a 100-year period.

Talked to CityNews about how well received the Church St pedestrianization pilot was!
Spoke about:
- (queer) third spaces
- pedestrianizing other streets,
- bringing back the pilot next year (hopefully longer in length and time)
- need for more flexibility+support from the city
While some critics at Toronto City Hall were skeptical of the Church Street pedestrianization plan at first, Chris Moise, the councillor for Ward 13 Toronto Centre who championed the project, called it “a huge success” in an interview with CityNews. toronto.citynews.ca/2026/08/…
