i miss my brother a lot. every time i have something good to eat, i feel kind of bad knowing that he’s living alone in kota right now while i’m here with the whole family, enjoying good food.
i still remember my 2-day visit to kota. i genuinely wanted to go there and study, but covid happened during my time, and after that, my father didn’t allow me to go.
it was a really good place, but the air there was honestly depressing. it was bad. i don’t think i’ll ever let anyone close to me go through that again. gotta work hard so that the next generation of my family never has to go through this.

starting tomorrow i have decided to start something new.
every day, for an hour or whenever i get the time, i’m going to go live on youtube and just read.
the idea is simple: more accountability, less procrastination.
initially, it’s probably going to be pretty random. but after a few days, i want to make it a habit to go live for ~1 hour right after waking up, probably around 11am. we’ll figure out the exact timing as we go.
the book we’re starting with is designing data-intensive applications. i also want to build a small community around this. join the live, read along, discuss things, or just lurk.
