Just a reminder that everyone gets art block or burnout sometimes. It's totally normal, so don't beat yourself up about it! Here's some tips on how to try getting out of it.
1. Taking care of yourself is probably the most important. Try things like cleaning up your workspace, cooking a healthy meal, or going outside if it's an option.
2. Make a SMALL list. Big lists are overwhelming, so even if you do have a lot to work on, pick a few of the more important ones. List it out and mark it down for 10 to 15 minute chunks.
3. Set a timer! Open that file and just work on it for a the timer amount. Avoid more than 20 minutes. If you want to keep working on it after the timer is up, go for it! But don't push yourself.
4. Check things off your list for a good serotonin boost. If you want to, add something else to your list for another block of time.
TAKE BREAKS. It might be hard when you have deadlines but getting up from your desk and moving to another space is game changing when you get art constipation. This applies to most creative things.
Take care of yourself friends 🧡
