Two thoughts on this situation:
1. We do have the technology with Statcast and that says it was a homer in just one ballpark (Houston)
2. I'm not sure how much I trust that because it DID look like it'd leave the park if the roof wasn't there
No one in Padres clubhouse disputed the call. But Ty France and Manny Machado made a thoughtful case for the ground rules to change:
"With all the technology and data we have now ... there should be something put in place right there," France said. "That shouldn't be an out."
