The sick are still sick. The injured are still injured. Wounds still need to be cleaned and dressed. Children still need treatment. People with chronic illnesses still need their medication. Emergencies still happen every single day. This woman had an appointment with our neurologist - the clinic had to pause operations. Close. Why - money. Funding. Donation.
Not because the need disappeared. Not because there is another clinic for people to turn to. We are closed because we have just recently not secured the $2,050 it costs each day to operate the clinic - including the medications and medical supplies our patients depend on.
Imagine being a doctor and knowing how to help the person standing in front of you, but not having the medication or supplies to treat them. Imagine being a patient who has already endured displacement, bombardment, hunger and loss, only to arrive at the clinic you rely on and find the doors closed.
We should ALL be angry about this!!

Tasaheel Baker, 43, is a widowed mother of five living in a rented tent in Gaza with her six-member household after being displaced five or six times during the genocide. She pays $150 in monthly rent despite having no source of income. Her husband was martyred when their tent was bombed, and their oldest son, Mohammed (21), was seriously injured in the same attack, leaving him with metal plates in his hand and in need of surgery, ongoing wound care, and pain treatment. Her daughter Aya (19) helps care for the family, while Hassan (15) is deaf and needs a hearing aid, Sami (4) is malnourished and requires nutritious food, and baby Selin needs infant formula and diapers. Tasaheel is seeking support for her children's medical care, a hearing aid for Hassan, surgery for Mohammed's hand, university fees for Aya, nutritious food for Sami, baby supplies for Selin, tent repairs, rent, and other basic living expenses as she works to provide for her family on her own.

Hanady Sohel Saleh Al-Masri, 27, lives in a tent with her husband, Ziad, 36 and their four children, Kareem (9), Zain Al-Din (6), Layan (3), and Jouri (1), after being displaced 13 times during the genocide. The family pays 200 shekels in rent despite having no stable income and relies mostly on humanitarian aid. Hanady's mother was martyred during the siege, and she was separated from her younger sisters, who lost their mother as well. Her husband was shot in the foot while trying to collect food from an aid distribution site and still has bullet fragments in his leg, leaving him unable to work. All four children have developed contagious skin infections linked to the overcrowded living conditions and lack of sanitation and need ongoing treatment with ointments and antibiotics. Hanady hopes to secure medical care for her children, help her husband start a small market stand to generate income, and provide basic necessities such as food, clothing, and access to education for her children.

Yamen Hussein Ghazi Al-Omrani is a 20-year-old from eastern Gaza who has been displaced eight times since the genocide began. He now lives in a tent with four family members and pays between 200–800 shekels in land rent each month. After returning to their neighbourhood during one period of displacement, Yamen was injured in an airstrike and continues to live with shrapnel lodged in his back and hand. He needs surgery to remove the fragments, regular medical checkups, and ongoing pain medication, but the costs are beyond the family's means. Unable to work because of his injuries, Yamen is also responsible for helping support his family while they cope with displacement and the loss of their home. Support will help cover his medical treatment, necessary surgeries, pain medication, and the rent for the land where their tent is set up.
