A few notable numbers for the Eagles offense through two weeks: • Sean Mannion has utilized tempo on 11.8% of their offensive plays, the 3rd-highest rate in football, per Sumer Sports. It was a focus we saw in camp that has carried over early in the year, specifically in the red zone. • They’ve lived in 11 personnel (1 RB/1 TE/3 WRs) on 77.2% of plays, the 2nd-highest rate in the NFL. That likely won’t change for now with Ertz clearly established as TE1 without Goedert, but it’ll be interesting to see how Mannion utilizes multiple-TE sets when Goedert returns. Small sample size, but interested to see how Mannion evolves as game plans and personnel adjust week-to-week while focusing on what’s worked in games prior.

A little bit of what to expect from Kenny Moore. Nose for the football in space.

I expect Kenny Moore to get run at both nickel and safety for Vic Fangio. The tape for Marcus Epps in Week 2 flat out wasn’t good enough and another body was needed. Moore punches above his weight class at 5’9” and has a knack for the football as well (7 INTs last three years).

When asked about Zach Ertz’s recovery process post-ACL surgery, a source close to his camp said this: “He’s worked his a** off to get back to where he is now from where he was last winter… it’s taken time, but he’s excited to play ball again and do whatever it is they ask of him.”

Three seconds left in the half, on the road, get the points and move to the second half. You can’t predict what happened but what a damn fluke of a play to see Daniels get hurt on. For an organization that’s seen nasty, gruesome injuries at QB to Joe Theismann, Alex Smith, Robert Griffin III, now Jayden Daniels I mean when do they ever get a break. Goodness gracious.

Dan Quinn can’t be a defensive minded head coach and have a defense that looks this inept year after year. They showed some positives in W1, but this is ugly in Dallas. You’re not even giving Jayden Daniels a shot to fight…

The Eagles generated a ridiculous +11.8 EPA (expected points added) on Dontayvion Wicks’ five catches. It’s the 5th-most by any WR in a single game over the last two years, per @NextGenStats.

Riq Woolen in his first two games as an Eagle (64 coverage snaps): • 7 targets against • 2 catches • 7 yds allowed Pretty good.

Saquon Barkley goes out. Dallas Goedert goes out. The o-line is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine, but the Eagles are 2-0 on the back of Jalen Hurts. Not the defense, not Barkley, Hurts has backpacked the Eagles to open the year in two tight ballgames. Gotta tip your cap.

Jalen Hurts has played like an MVP these first two weeks. Absolutely sensational football from No. 1.

That’s a horrid effort on 3-22. Tackling has been inconsistent all day for the Eagles but goodness gracious someone has to buck up and make a play. Too many high level ballplayers to give up chunk gains that should be limited at the LOS.

Hell of a rep from Moro Ojomo against a heck of a young guard in Peter Skoronski. Whew.

That’s a reallly nice route combination from Sean Mannion v zone. Sit routes frontside to occupy the eyes of the safety, DeVonta Smith comes over the top from the slot backside. Combine it with Hurts’ mobility and it’s an easy six. Playbook starting to open up.

Makai Lemon is winning consistently in his routes. Expect some more shots as the offense gets into the flow of the game. Just beat Alontae Taylor off the LOS with ease. Easy separation so far.
