Reading the discussions on it and I feel like many Sonic fans outright do not understand what the word “native” means and/or are willingly ignoring it. Frontiers says in no uncertain terms that the Chaos Emeralds originated on the Ancients world, they weren’t anywhere prior.

The word choice makes it crystal clear that the Chaos Emeralds were either created or formed on that planet, the details of how aren’t known but that is the first place they came to be Unless Sage has actively wrong information from the Ancients’ records, this is the truth of it

Imo the added Frontiers lore of the Chaos Emeralds being native to the Ancients world (but *not* the Master Emerald, that one’s from Earth) is way more interesting then them having no origin at all. It raises more questions than it does answer any.

I see fans talk about this as if it makes it less interesting to theorize about their history, but wouldn’t it be the opposite? The story ST set up is really interesting. The Emeralds don’t seem naturally occurring, so why are they connected but originate from different worlds?

Fans also seem to entirely forget that Frontiers also set up a confirmed to exist yet currently unseen God who the Ancients worship. Is it… not obvious that the Emeralds have something to do with them?

Just realized that Sonic Frontiers taking such heavy inspiration from Evangelion might mean that the Emeralds are akin to those seeds in Eva lore that were supposed to kick start different kinds of life across different planets (humans and angels iirc?)

I don’t think it’s exactly the same but even before making this connection i’ve been under the impression that the Ancients were somehow born from the Chaos Emeralds in some capacity, particularly because of the Chao and Chaos already indicating something similar.

I’m enjoying Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave a lot but I definitely agree with the common complaint that it shares the same issue as Three Houses in that it spends way too much time on content that isn’t actually Fire Emblem (the strategic combat).

While I understand some of y’all do not care for him I think y’all need to accept he is a main character of the Modern series It is far more productive to ask for more for other characters than it is to ask for less of Shadow
