Day 33: I'm back to work on U-BOT my outdoor utility robot. This is running off of the tool battery now. But the buck I'm using doesn't work for some reason. I don't know if it's toast or it just shut down. It's supposed to handle up to 24v input...

it's ironic how agents need to think more for the best code but poasters need to think less for the best tweet

how do you compute the torque to linear force transfer through this mechanism?
回転運動から直線運動への変換。

every day we get a little closer
a full humanoid robot used to cost more than a car. berkeley just made one for under $5k. berkeley humanoid lite changes everything: > modular, 3d-printed gearboxes > off-the-shelf hobby parts > cad, firmware, and the full rl training stack included a five-figure parts order becomes a weekend of printing. that’s the difference between reading about humanoid robots and having one on your bench. 100% open-source.

I am building MOSS the 800$ litter picking robot as fast as I can, this is the V0.3 prototype waiting it's gripper and the open source V0.4 is already printing.

the best way to tell an agent "make no mistakes" is to write the prompt without making any mistakes yourself

if you're building a robot put an IMU on every rigidbody and an encoder on every pivot. robots need more sensors. you should be sensormaxxing

maybe i should get 4 or 6 motors and do passively articulated steering. just put an encoder at the pivot and RL train it to drive
this is crazy... it's the same price to either get a bigger motor or to just buy more small motors and add more wheels

so.. you need like 3x torque to drive in grass compared to concrete..
i'm going to take this for a drive

the worst idea is the idea that's only in your head, as it doesn't yet exist all other ideas are fine give it a go 👍

once you get the cutter right the battery mount is just a cube shape
i've modeled the cutout for the battery mount
