What did you think of the race at Kansas?

"It's just very head-scratching how we're that off." Tyler Reddick is frustrated and confused by the team's performance and lack of speed. He is 111 points behind the Chase lead. He continued that they could move on from a poor race at Bristol but not this as we are heading to more 1.5-mile tracks. "To be that bad is a big problem."

Brad Keselowski and Carson Hocevar after the race on the restart incident: Hocevar: "It just looked like me and the No. 54 were just kind of going for the same spot. He was in my blind spot so I didn't know he was shooting that middle." Keselowski: “They were in front of me, and then they weren't. From what I'm told, they made some contact there in the outside lane, so I don't really feel like that had anything to do with me, but makes for a damn good story.”

“I think it’s just easier to be the hunter rather than the hunted.” Chase Briscoe took the lead from Kyle Larson in Stage 3 and looked like he might run away with it. Larson was able to take it back and close out a dominate max-points day at Kansas to win his second race of the Chase. He extends his points lead over Denny Hamlin by 26 points.

It's crazy what a win can do in the points. With Larson leading with 31 laps to go, he was 28 points ahead of Hamlin for the championship lead. When Briscoe passed Larson for the lead, his points gap dropped to eight over Hamlin.

Carson Hocevar and a few others wreck during a restart on Lap 122. Brad Keselowski's was behind Hocevar. His perspective via radio: "I thought I saw them spinning but I couldn't tell at first." Later, "I assume those guys were just fighting for the middle and crashed."
