Look, I've had a few beers, but let me just work this out in words.
Yesterday, thanks to The Times, it was revealed that Britain had given not just asylum but then Indefinite Leave to Remain and then Citizenship to one of the bodyguards of the one of the major leaders of Hamas in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh.
Today, we learn that what appears to have been a planned mass casualty terrorist attack was scuppered primarily because one local person noticed a bunch of unregistered white vans driving around the nearby RAF base.
Also today we learn that the current British government wants to open up pipelines to take Gazans and Afghans and put them in Britain.
At no point, as far as I can tell, has literally anyone in the government taken a moment to just click the 'pause' button and ask the really obvious question:
If we let in lots of Afghans and Gazans, what are those people likely to do to British Jews?
And of course, it's not just what they're likely to do to British Jews. But we do live, apparently, in a multicultural society in which public policy proposals are meant to be measured about the kinds of disproportionate impacts those decisions might have in regard to various ethnic minority groups.
Does anyone think that these decisions were put through the *very* simple test of: what might these decisions mean for British Jews who've lived here for 300 years, served in WW2 with distinction and in disproportionate numbers, literally gave us both Tesco and M&S, and have both the highest rates of educational attainment and the lowest levels of crime of any group anywhere in this country?
Of course not. They probably didn't even bother.
Which means that the British state is going to implement a policy of taking in Gazans and Afghans for at least the next three years anyway.
The inevitable outcome of that policy is that at least some of those people will deliberately seek out and murder British Jews. And they will murder them, we know that with statistical certainty, because it's the same literally anywhere that you let Palestinians go.
We have a choice before us as a public. Are we willing to let the government let in people into this country, to proclaim them 'British citizens' in 6 years time, who will inevitably go on to murder not just British Jews – our oldest and most successful minority group in Britain – but also the majority population?
I don't think we should lay down quietly about this.

When's the last time the UK government condemned face coverings using a far left event as an example?
Because the left have been covering their faces for decades and the government never said anything. And it only took one single event off the right covering their faces for them to condemn the practice.

🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage has demanded that police name the five men arrested near RAF Fairford, saying the public “deserve to be told the truth.”
• The Reform UK leader said he had warned “in and out of Parliament for many months about Iranian agents coming into the UK via small boats.” He referred to those held as “the Fairford bomb plotters.”
• The men were first held on suspicion of Explosives Act offences and later under section 5 of the Terrorism Act, preparing a terrorist act. They remain in custody. About 85 households in Whelford were evacuated. Army specialists examined the vehicles.
• Counter-terrorism police are leading the inquiry. Reporting has said possible Iranian links are among the lines being considered.

Chancellor Healey has trotted out some misleading figures, which suggest he is planning to hike CGT. He claimed that the UK enjoys the lowest capital gains tax rate of any major European economy. In truth:
The UK top CGT rate is: 24%
The 2026 EU average: 17.7%
The 2026 wider-European average: 16.7%
Thus UK's 24% rate is 36% higher than the EU average and 44% higher than the wider European average.
If one compares only with three European countries, namely France, Italy, and Germany, then our rate is slightly lower but in doing that Healey is being dishonest and playing with stats.

This will keep happening for as long as the British state treats Palestinism as a legitimate cause. The Palestine flag is the flag of the Islamo-leftist revolutionary alliance, and at all levels is a terrorist threat. It should be viewed on a par with ISIS, and police should be instructed to use force to break up any protest in support of it. Any immigrant supporting the cause must be deported. It is the flag of the enemy.
R.A.F and U.S. bases are attacked on our soil. Defence factories are regularly targeted.
Meanwhile Palestinian, Iranian, Kashmiri and Pakistani flags march through our streets - with those waving them calling for death to our allies and violent revolution.
Nothing to see here.

It still shocks me that Lucy Letby was deemed a serial murderer purely on the basis of a chart with an apparent correlation. There was never any evidence of her doing anything inappropriate to her patients. There was nothing to point the finger at her other than the chart.

Please read. This is correct on all points. We need a political revolution.
I’m back from a week in the Maldives and a day in Dubai, and the experience has really made me think about Britain.
The Maldives is one of the countries most exposed to rising sea levels. Yet what did I actually see?
I saw land being reclaimed from the sea and entire new urban areas being built. Hulhumalé, for example, was created through land reclamation and is now being developed into a major planned city.
Whatever your views on climate change, there is something to be said for looking at what countries actually do in response to difficult circumstances: they adapt, they build and they invest.
Then there was Dubai.
What struck me wasn't just the extraordinary buildings. It was the sheer pride people seemed to have in their country. Flags were everywhere. People were incredibly polite. The streets were clean, public spaces were immaculate and there was greenery everywhere lawns, gardens and landscaped areas being maintained in a climate where keeping things green clearly requires enormous investment.
And most importantly, it felt safe.
You didn't see police officers everywhere, but there was an obvious understanding that there are rules and that those rules are enforced. People knew the boundaries and appeared to respect them.
Then I arrived back in Britain.
The contrast genuinely shocked me.
We have enormous advantages: a long-established democracy, world-class institutions, extraordinary history, talented people and enormous potential. Yet too much of the country looks dirty, neglected and run down.
We seem to spend enormous amounts of money while struggling to deliver the basics. We talk endlessly about targets, restrictions and net zero, while at the same time struggling with housing, infrastructure, productivity and public services.
And I’m not suggesting for one minute that the Maldives or Dubai are perfect. They clearly aren't. Nor am I saying Britain should simply copy them.
But perhaps we should ask ourselves a simple question:
Why do some places seem so determined to build, invest, maintain their cities, enforce their laws and create an environment where people feel proud and safe while Britain increasingly seems incapable of doing the basics?
Walking around Dubai, I couldn't help noticing how proud people seemed of where they lived. The flags were everywhere. There was a sense of order. People were polite. The place was clean. It felt safe.
Then you come home and see litter, neglected streets, failing infrastructure and a general sense that we have somehow lost confidence in ourselves.
I don't believe Britain needs to become Dubai.
I don't believe we should ignore climate risks either.
But there is a huge difference between taking sensible measures to deal with genuine environmental challenges and allowing political arguments about net zero to become an excuse for failing to build, invest, grow and improve people's everyday lives.
Countries can adapt.
Countries can innovate.
Countries can build.
Countries can enforce the law.
Countries can take pride in themselves.
And countries can make their cities clean, attractive and safe.
After a week in the Maldives and a day in Dubai, coming home to Britain was a bloody eye-opener.
We shouldn't be accepting decline as inevitable.
Britain is capable of so much better than this.

Whatever you think of Danny Tommo or his politics, there is a basic principle here that ought to transcend political sides.
Daniel Thomas is currently a defendant in active criminal proceedings. He has pleaded not guilty. His case has not been determined.
Yet the Prime Minister has publicly said it is “hard to conclude that Daniel Thomas is anything other than someone who has racist views.”
Why is the head of government publicly characterising the views and character of a defendant while criminal proceedings against that person are still active?
That question stands regardless of whether what Andy Burnham said ultimately crosses any legal threshold.
But his intervention raises two further questions that lawyers may wish to consider.
First, defamation. What evidential basis does the Prime Minister have for publicly describing an identifiable individual in those terms? Is he asserting something capable of being proved true or false, or expressing an honestly held opinion based upon facts that have been sufficiently indicated?
Second, prejudice to active proceedings. The Contempt of Court Act 1981 is concerned with publications creating a substantial risk that the course of justice will be seriously impeded or prejudiced. I am not asserting that threshold has been crossed — that is a legal question. But when the person making the statement is the serving Prime Minister, and the defendant is awaiting further Crown Court proceedings, surely it is reasonable to ask the question.
The CPS itself has reminded the public that:
“proceedings against the defendant are active and he has the right to a fair trial.”
That principle applies whether you like the defendant or loathe him.
A Prime Minister does not need to wait until a court finds his words unlawful before exercising restraint.
The more fundamental question is why the head of government thought publicly passing judgment on the character of a defendant in an unresolved criminal case was appropriate in the first place.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham says it's "hard to conclude that Daniel Thomas is anything other than someone who has racist views," directly attacking the Patriot Platform founder known as Danny Tommo.
Tommo pleaded not guilty this week to criminal damage over the alleged slashing of a boat in the Channel while an emergency responder was aboard.
A sitting Prime Minister just branded a man racist in public while his case is still active and unresolved. Make of that what you will.
